Maybe so on US and Canada numbers although I feel you might be just a tad too high on the guesstimate and being that most of the other countries are advanced nations, Japan, most of Europe for instance or some like India have extremely large populations.

Don't forget though that the agreements with the Studio's / Distributors were all tweaked and redrafted to adjust for streaming slippage.

Until those agreements were signed (and imho to the advantage of cinemas) Mooky was absolutely adament that no films released on streaming would be shown in Cineworld cinemas. After all the Box Office was a $42.5 Billion industry prior to the pandemic.

Any improvement will be welcome Ephemeral + any update re Debenhams? scrip dividend announcements? and what if any further plans they have for repurposing parts of the estate and what they intend to do with their land bank? would be helpful.

Sat static selling the films in the same UK market as ourselves and presumably influenced by the same macro factors as ourselves.

Dragon9, it is openly accepted across the board that it is the lively bulletin boards that get targetted for shorting activity and the accompanying information and disinformation that accompanies. Happens on the main market. Happens on Aim.

AMC due to it's meme status is not a meaniigful comparison at all. EMAN similarly is UK listed, same as CINE

The point being made is that if there are wider macro forces at play, then with both selling exactly the same product i.e. films, then the other (EMAN) should also have been displaying an effect. Instead it has flatlined for the last month and actually gone up over 3 months.

It would perhaps be more useful to all if you could precisely explain why EMAN would not be a meaningful comparison given they both sell films in the UK, premium end experiences and are both UK listed.

The key difference between the two in the main is this:

Shorters and manipulators pick on bulletin boards with a high number of contributors which normally symbolises a large contingent of retail investors and traders and they then play with the price. That is because they then get the accompanying vocalisation on the bulletin board to permeate fear and perpetuate doom and gloom.

Borrowed stock utilised and sold into the market though has to be bought back at some point to repay.

As has been the norm with CINE in the weeks since reopening if there has been any sign of good news then it normally gets sold into and down. Our share of $80M through the tills in the US courtesy of Black Widow with another post pandemic record is good news as will be the accompanying CUME, cumulative audience over the theatrical window.

Bulletin board with virtually zero contributions daily and a share price by comparison with the CINE share price, that has barely budged in the last 1 month and in actual fact has gone up over the last 3 months.

Solely down to short interest focussing on chatty bulletin boards and accompanying price manipulation here imho. But therein it presents it's own opportunity.
