The real interesting part, and that may lend to your bid theory and sitting duck aspect is the relevant silence in the market of one of our biggest shareholders Jangho.

They have paid prices far higher than todays sp for their stock and despite reopenings and successive post pandemic Box Office records haven't purchased any more stock.

Quite probably they are the ones lending out stock. If so there will be a reason and it won't be to the detriment of an already exisiting sizeable share holding.

Forbes overpredicted and $80 million is still a further post pandemic record and a further $10 Million improvement and step up from F9's opening. Interestingly also was the international side of things (of which our UK and RoW sides contribute.

Again these figures should feed through to a cumulative audience of somewhere in the region of x 2.5 to x 3 the Box office opening in each of its regions.

Wishing them all the luck in what will no doubt be a tricky endeavour this evening.

Tournament over and back into the cinemas again is what we all wish for.

Patience is required in general with longterm share investment.
That is particularly true here.

Progress is being made on many fronts, but don't make your own reality of where we stand right now today.
Covid is being "beaten" in parts of the world, but it hasn't disappeared.
Studios are releasing movies, but not yet enough.
Yes "we are open", but being open alone doesn't = much higher share price. Currently we are a heavily indebted company that is currently likely eating into what's left of those debt cash reserves.
We need to be open with no restrictions across our markets, with number of big movies backed up by rafts of "support" movies, with higher average attendance than we currently have. This then leads to higher box office/consessions (enough to stop bleeding cash then make sufficient profits to reduce debt).
The UK government likely removing masks indoors at this terminus date has on balance likely been viewed negatively.

On the road, there are (considerable) bumps yet to overcome fully.

Sit back eat your favourite biscuit and give it time to justify the SP you want.

You do not know the present commercial agreements with studios and distributors. They have all changed. Therefore you cannot make any valid comparisons.

Nor do you actually know how many have gone to Regal.

This isn't basics in finance. It is the basics in Arithmetic needed to work things out.

Purely opinion on my part but we might have done a bit better than the present share price would have you believe.

The only thing that we actually can say with any certainty at this time is that the US Box Office - where we have 75% of our business is successively improving on it's opening weekend from whence Godzilla versus Kong first started things off.

Godzilla versus Kong $32M

Mortal Kombat and Demon Slayer combined Circa $44.4M combined opening weekend

A Quiet Place 2 $57M opening weekend but also combined with Cruella and The Conjuring

Fast and Furious 9. $70M opening weekend

Black Widow (Expected to surpass $70M)

People get a tad myopic and only concentrate on opening weekends but all of these films run for the duration of their theatrical window and amass their Cume (Cumulative audiences) over that time period. I've covered this previously but the Cume can amount to roughly 2.9 to over 3 x the opening weekend in overall takings.

Then you also have your supplementary films as well. (e.g. Nobody, Wrath of Man, Hitmans Wifes, Spiral, Bodyguard to name but a mere few)

That's a pretty good cache of overlapping bigger films and supplementary films since reopenings and the last two, one of which is and the other should be the highest earning to date and are only near the start of their theatrical window.

You have no knowledge of Box Office cut for cinema, no knowledge of exactly how many people are visiting Regal, no knowledge of Food and beverage sales presently, margins on those (have they gone up from pre-pandemic), no knowledge ion advertising revenue.

Yet we try and play accountant till next buy in.

Meanwhiles F9 is still adding to it's Box Office Cume (cumulative audience). Multiplexes by their very nature have further films showing. 16th July for instance you can also choose between Escape Room 2, The Forever Purge, The Croods 2 and Space Jam.

Just two further points on anyone trying to subjectively assess if CINE is making money or "bleeding it"

1. There is a not one person on this bulletin board can actually say how much money is being taken off Popcorn and other concession food and beverage sales and add to that advertisement revenues.

2. Nor does anyone have the slightest clue on the commercial agreements that presently exist in respect of the Box Office cut that cinemas get from any ticket sales. Differing agreements with differing studios / dustributors and that information is not in the public domain.
