The share price as of today has now halved from the 124p levels it attained when NOFEAR got his exit point and that being against full and what were staged reopenings and constantly improving Box Office. Manipulation at it's finest imho.

sammy18, boiler rooms and paid to posts exist and particularly on shorted stocks. Countless articles on them that pop up all the time. The tactics don't just stop there , negative spin stories get placed etc etc.

That post imho was intended for this board and to disrupt even more. Just somebody being crafty enough to post it elsewhere knowing somebody would pick it up eventually and copy it across. If they had wished revenge as such then they would have gone to the FCA as a whistleblower. It's ?sunk the share price another bit so whoever it was is probably laughing all the way to their next bonus.

Btw small trader on that list is a complete joke. Surprised I never made the list as a holder and believer in the stock in which I invested. But then again no need if you just turn the algo to sell each time I post something positive.

The 100p to 120p bulletin board of old on here challenged all these individuals, filtered them, declined to post on their negative threads and started new ones, reported them and got rid. It didn't invite them on, provide them with and fuel their agenda for a two bit trade, "agree with them" which as you can see just makes them lol, or indeed get you to turn against the genuine posters and individuals who are actually invested and trying to stand up for their investments with reasoned argument.

Fertile ground was provided here and despite constantly improving Box Office ($32M (GvK) to $57M (QP2) $70M (F9)to $80M (BW) we are where we are. Market Cap now of only about £840Million.

If I was to express one more opinion it would be on timing. Most damage done to the share price over the last few days and with the big knocks to the share price coming and large volumes done to coincide with the company entering it's closed period prior to results. During that time period news releases, though not impossible, are generally extremely limited.

Maybe some reflection required.

How the regulatory authorities in this countries don't pick these situations up on their radar early, monitor closely and intervene is beyond me. It's a complete free for all. Simply not an orderly market in this stock.

Large successive drops, with staged drops throughout the day over the last few days, catching the traders out repeatedly. I think you will find that you are wrong on this on several fronts.
I'd gladly wager you another bet and take your money this time, but these agreements are sensitive and confidential business arrangements and will be unlikely to ever see the light of day.

You simply do not surrender from a position of strength a shorter theatrical window and day and date release of streaming in an industry that in 2019 took $42.5 Billion through cinema tills at the Box Office.

Mooky was absolutely adament that no films would be showing in Cineworld cinemas if it did not respect the theatrical window. Well documented. Something gave way to reach an agreement and for me it wasn't Mooky. He is one of the main global hands in a $42.5 Billion dollar industry.

Shorts trashed the share price today imho and spooked PI's into further cascading the price downwards . Probably tantamount to blatant market abuse over the last few days and weeks but nobody seems interested.

Lets wait and see if anyone picked up the stock amidst the near 20 Million traded today

What's changed since reopenings,

* Successive growth in Box office takings from Goodzilla versus Kong through to Demon Slayer and Mortal Kombat quick 1,2, QP2 and Cruella and the Conjuring, hatrick all in the same weekend.
*Peter Rabbit 2 released into the May/ June holidays - did well.
*Fast and Furious 9 - $70 Million opening and Cume.
*Black Widow - $80 million opening and Cume
*Space Jam: A New Legacy and the Croods 2 being released to coincide with the present school holidays.
*Social Distancing requirements now removed in the UK, should we wish them.

*Same PI and trader shares being churned and recycled over and over again.
*Hand them over your shares to others should you wish. That's probably the aim.
*They all need to be bought back at some point.

There have not been any great volume of shares traded to show any massive sell-off and a near halving in the shareprice, with the news that has been delivered seems unduly harsh. Been as high as 245p I believe.

Its a company with a very good CEO, that keeps it shareholders well informed and that seems to be making some very astute and accretive deals.

I may add in stages as they were well placed for the second half of the year and I think all the acquisitions so far will add good value moving forward.

For some streaming films works but if you haven't already it's worth getting yourself to the Imax or 4DX DhPI and see F9. It'll probably reshape your future outlook on seeing the bigger films.

Indeed too many unknowns, and unknown if in Portugal, Japan, Switzerland or US, stay at homes in any case, people in isolated locations, people without transport, newcomers or simply the 1 person paying for streaming etc etc.

"Variety" as per their quote seem to think it brought Disney more money and we haven't done badly out of it either at $80M. Lets hope that the renegotiated agreements with the studios were sufficient to compensate.

Even our most recent imho bear analysts share rating from Berenberg that was a hold rating but with an upgraded price of 85p

It will be interesting to see if we lift social distancing in cinemas or keep things as they are. But yes a positive development that might allow us to reduce the number of screenings and costs.

I know your head seems to be spinning a bit tonight but you have done the right thing counting people individually in the circa $24M at $9.50 per ticket, so roughly 800K.

If it was 3 (or 3.33) from a household viewing on streaming as opposed to going to the cinema then you have already counted them in the $30 you divided into the $24M to get the 800k. No requirement to double count.

Meanwhile at Everyman not a bulletin board post since June or flinch in the share price today.

Thanks for posting the Variety article and also your thoughts and calculations and it seems Variety also found that Disney releasing the numbers for once were standoutish, particularly given no such numbers for Cruella and Mulan. Personally I think it is all to do with The Executives at Disney trying to manage their own Disney Share price and given no China release date as yet For Black Widow.

Unfortunately the number provided is just too unspecific and does not enable them to broken down with an reliability for say country to country The best we can say is possibly the "circa" 20% which you have cited and it equating to circa $24m or say 800,000 customers lost to cinemas?

The question mark? is due to the assumption that all of those 800,000 equivalent you mention were all cinema attendees who decided to substitute cinemas for streaming. Personally I don't think that will have been the case and many will have already been either streaming viewers sat at home and there may even have been new streaming customers coming online just for the film. Too many unknown variables.

I also do think Variety think similar.

I only sought to say it wouldn't be the full $60M lost from US and Canadian cinemas due to the global spread of Disney+. That view has been reinforced and I think it may actually be less than $24M for the above reasons.

Lastly, can I just mention that Variety are still trying to use the 50% / 50% split model on Box Office revenues to explain things but I think that will have changed in favour of cinemas for two reasons a) because slippage in cinema attendance would have been anticipated and not willingly surrendered without concession b) theatrical windows were also reduced and again it would not be without favourable concession. All these agreements I expect will remain confidential and never see daylight.
