If Jungle Cruise made $34.2M at the US / Canadian Box Office over it's first weekend then it has exceeded the initially predicted $25M and the predicted drop off in ticket as a result of PVOD has not been as bad as some had thought.

It'll be interesting to see how JC's opening weekend compares with The Suicide Squad which debuts in the US and Canada from the 6th August. Both I have as middle of the road grossing films.

Yeah, he'll be struggling to fit in all the promotional work that will ensure he gets his profit participation earnings / success percentages.

In the last few weeks he has only had time to pop up at the England Euro's semi-final, at Wimbledon and also at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. It's a hard life.

(Cruis1 you should know better than posting anything Sage says on here. They have singularly got just about every prediction about the pandemic wrong, their modelling has been shockingly woeful and the country could have unlocked fully about 2 months earlier had it not been for their pessimistic and deeply wrong projections. They produce papers for the Govt imho it's a leak to try and keep Project Fear trundling along. Still if it works and assists in keeping a lid on the numbers then I for one am not bothered.

Good RNS this morning out of the blue which means funded without dilution and to see it well through into next year.

Meanwhiles the likes of Scarlet Johansen (and there will be others) seem to be upping the pressure on day and date release.

Might see the Disney share price take a slight hit over the coming days and weeks and movie theatres regaining in status again. If Scarlet wins then expect a whole lot more to follow suit, especially from those accomplished actors and actresses who take part of their earnings based how much the film grosses.

Big plus point will probably be that Jungle Cruise will be the last day and date release off Disney for a while, and until this case has been decided. It might even force Disney to rethink its strategy and focus on picking up a cinema chain or two.

It's herd immunity HNS imho. The PM is not yet wishing to acknowledge it, so as we dont drop our guard just yet, but undeniably the infection rate in the last week has fallen off a cliff. All those vaccinations, continuance of the same and all the antibodies circulating out there is putting us where we are. Booster jabs also to come.

That's 7 days on the trot now of reduced infection rates and even the cautious must now be won round to Wave 3 having now peaked, plateaued and now reducing. All in absolute direct contrast to the grim picture painted back then on the run up to Freedom Day.

Great result for the following reasons.

Quiet day today on here. Maybe like myself people are on their vacations and staycations and are taking in the tourist attractions, pubs, restaurants and cinemas whilst sat back waiting for things top correct back up. I have to say from what I have seen myself first hand over the last few days people are really embracing Freedom Day whilst still being careful.

At the Freedom Day Government Briefings and interviews in the days afterwards Boris Johnson refused to rule out the possibility of reimposing restrictions.
