One week on and with the press and media trying to sensationalise everything to try and sell newspapers and their news channels and Sage experts also trying to self publicise themselves imho and actually drill down into the data.

In the UK, given we have recently seen fully open borders, a fully open economy, COP 26 with international delegations, a South Africa v England rugby match and now targeted track, trace and isolate of those with Omicron and haveng come into contact with them forgive me for pointing out the obvious.

We are not seeing anywhere near the Exponential rises in infection rates, hospitalisations or deaths that we should be.

To be fair there has been quite a lot of film exposure on TV of late.

The One Show covered the new film Boxing Day with Leigh Ann Pinnock(Ex - Little Mix) in it which is out this weekend and also the new film with Olivia Coleman and Dakota Johnson in it, "The Lost Daughter"

The bulletin board these days just seems full of multi-ID's and T-wasters so forgive us all for switching off and enjoying Christmas and just dropping in now and again.

Footfall is very high, packed at the weekends, and with that comes rents being paid.

Down on big volume. Back up on smaller volume.

Always catches the traders and re-entry brigade out.

Just got back in after a midweek day Christmas shopping. Surprisingly busy with people and the car parks were the same. Happy to report people adhering to wearing masks in retail, as did I.

Probably like last year we all endured a disappointing Christmas what regional restrictions etc on retail, pubs, restaurants and cinemas and actually closed nearer the big day. With that in mind this year I intend to carry on as normal as can be and fully enjoy the build up to Xmas day and New Year. The vast majority of people from what I can see are doing exactly that as well. CARD should have a very good Christmas.
