KTP we get these variants emerge all the time.

The Delta variant was meant to spread faster than any others and when first reported they expressed similar concerns that it could escape vaccines. Yet look how it actually turned out and look where we are now. From memory we also had Brazilian variants and South African variants in the recent past. Now seemingly forgotten about.

It's good though that they have swiftly Red listed 6 countries and are considering PCR tests again.

Might switch some of my TUI shares into NCYT.

Interesting read that Marik and on reading the article it looks like it pits the Fairstone case in the red corner versus the AB Stable case in the blue corner. The AB Stable ruling actually appeared just prior to the Fairstone decision by a matter of days but was never referenced. Judge Conway has the benefit of both.

Irrespective though of which way you read the article, on what is mentioned there are probably 3 points that sit in our favour of ourselves.
* Firstly there is no "MAE clause" in our Arrangement agreement. It is only a Definition and included in the definition of terms section. If there had been a clause as such then you would have expected it to overarch the full agreement. Merely as a definition though it doesn't and McCarthy in my view convincingly argued this to be the case and that it only applies to the specific paragraphs and sections in the agreement where it is mentioned. (Incionsequential ones).
* When talking about deviating from the normal course AB Stable quite clearly sits in favour of the Cineworld case on 3 specific wordings: 1. Failing to seek buyers consent is wrong 2. Ordinary course is not ordinary response to extraordinary events. It is the routine conduct of the business under normal circumstances and 3. It bars "Extraordinary Changes" - being ones which departed radically from routine and normal operations... Just also to be clear Fairstone imho works in our favour for it states that it is only ok to make "modest changes" Anyone who listened to all or some of the evidence know things went far beyond "modest"
* The third point re ordinary course is the mention of consistent with past practice rather than consistent with what others in the industry were doing. Our Arrangement Agreement clearly stipulates that it had to be consistent with past practice...

It would be too simplistic to say that these were the only issues as they are many and varied.

Probably the biggest point that I took away was that in AB Stable it was only only a 1 week case (as stated) and it led to a 242 page detailed ruling. Our case took over 4 weeks all in.

Judge decides.

The Macy’s Parade Returns

Nice to see a return of a normal Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Last year a scaled back and muted event. This year the full works again and an estimated 2.5 Million visitors. Looks like a real fun event.

There must be around a 10% jump to come just to fall back into line with sector for the last 2 days over exaggerated falls imho

Just one point, if it is supposedly a general market trend in say the travel and leisure sector then why did we get hot more than most yesterday and why are my TUI up over 3% and adding to yesterdays turnaround in share price. Easyjet also up today as is most of our sector. Yet we are down?? Was glaringly obvious yesterday and it is the same today that CINE has been hit more than most. Still it makes for a nice rebound.

Impact assess what IS ACTUALLY happening to the business you have shares in. Rather than "what might" or being guilty of overgeneralisation.

Sentiment in a market can over-exaggerate falls and create great opportunities and particularly so if it misjudges things.

They relevant question to be asking is cinemas open or not? If the answer is open then it should adjust back up. Spiderman No Way Home should hopefully reinforce that view.

I'm out this weekend combining shopping with seeing a movie and expect I'll be doing the same all the way through Christmas and into the New Year. Booster jabbed up now also.

If all the new posters and multi-id's get themselves out this weekend to actually see a movie this weekend or between now and Christmas we we will be made. The real question you should be asking is whether or not our cinemas are open? Not closed they sell movies.

Chairman bought around 600p with his own money if my memory serve me correctly.

Not quite sure why it has retreated or been made to retreat back to the most bearish of the analysts target prices when all others seemed more considered and higher> Would have been far better listing in the US but it is what it is and it's always good to have kept some powder dry.

From about 2.45p.m. onwards today, and having taken it down to a near days low to see if the US opening would oblige a bit further and getting no reaction, they then decided to accumulate.
My interpretation.

I could see the reason for this type of fall our cinemas have actually closed. But they haven't and having checked today I could still book tickets in every country we serve. Even then there is a lot of vaccine immunity out there.

Oversold imho ahead of our archnoid friend's tills opening.

Happy to take an educated that come this time next week those who sold today rather than buy might have regretted it.
Cinemas open, then we sell tickets. Multiplexes = multiple screens and multiple show times and the movies are there and the biggest ticket booth of the year opens on Monday.

If you actually believe that we will still sell movies all the way through Xmas and into the New Year then what is happening is that you are being presented with a share price that is oversold imo. That's what is happening.

Lets see where the share price goes when the likes of Adam Aron, Odeon etc start talking about Spiderman pre-sales. It is going to eclipse Bond pre-sales by a long way, particularly in the US.

And just to point out that Everyman one of our UK competitors hasn't budged an inch on its share price today or indeed this week and they provided a nice update this week upping their profit guidance and which coincided with our own recent update..

Over-exaggerated fall imho

Out this weekend to see House of Gucci and like many I'll be booking my Spiderman No Way Home tickets early next week to ensure we all get IMAX seats for the opening weekend.

Why be disappointed Salem, the cinemas are still open and showing movies.

Markets get irrational sometimes and over exaggerate falls.

I see TUI took a fall this morning also. These movements let others buy in cheaper.

I'd rather be selling tickets for Spiderman No Way Home, Westside Story, The Matrix and the Kingsman than trying to sell plane tickets and holidays but not for the first time this week we seem to have overshot the leisure sector falls by about 5% to 6%.
