Small trader, this will be even bigger than Bond but its not just the fact it will screen and provide 45 days of theatrical window (probably more) it is the quality of the other films that will be backing it up and all the cumulative audiences overlapping. There is a terrific 6 weeks of movies coming up this weekend with Ghostbusters Afterlife as a bigger film and there is also King Richard (Williams sisters) , Pitbull (for our Polish friends looks good) and The Battle of Lake Chaguin (Very Big Chinese film) then next week Disneys Encanto (family) and House of Gucci release.

The new Spiderman trailer is up to about 8 Million viewings already and I fully intend popping up all the gossip, premieres and info just to keep everyone informed. Keep that screenshot facility available.

Good to see the counter offer. Share price slightly higher means the market thinks the original buyer may have to come back and offer more. The BoD may still retain their support for the first offer but they are under a fiduciary duty to shareholders.

We are the day after a superb update off Cineworld and we have spent a day and a half reverting to answering trolls and an agenda of dropping a court case reference into discussions on the bulletin board as a one liner (probably with a smile) and then people actually sitting down and spending half an hour or an hour typing up replies to them, when in all probability they won't even be reading them - and with an algorythm selling across the back of any replies and wiping out all the hard work of the company getting things back on course.

The court issues have been discussed many times throughout the court case and thereafter and it is now 2 weeks since legal arguments finished. BB you make a good attempt but you miss so much e.g. "in compliance with past practice", "causation", the MAF being only a definition as opposed to an overarching clause etc.

Our case was presented very professionally and with good expert back up and you cannot summarise about a month of evidence in 5 paragraphs. The verdict will come when it comes and it didn't stop this rising to 75p yesterday.

We are best well shot of that overpriced deal and if the verdict comes with any deemed positive outcome then up she goes - a lot.

Time to switch off for a bit as the bulletin board is starting to resemble a school playground at break time.

Personally I don't think they will need to do that much over the next 6 weeks given the film slate that is coming and also the additional monies that will come in from Xmas Gift Vouchers.

But it's nice to see that with regards to our Cinema City brand in Europe and specifically in Romania they have taken some recent steps to try and boost custom further through a tie up with a company offering Extra Salary Benefit Cards.

These are essentially cards that employers use to pay their employees extra benefits over and above salary by loading them up with spendable credits and which they can spend in many affiliated outlets. Cinema City has now been added. Now active I believe and a good move imo

It can go up, it can go down but everybody knows the trading update was far better than the present share price suggests.

Btw I don't get all the constant reference to the court case. It was openly viewable all the way through with nothing hidden and all that watched it have a fair inkling of all the issues and a feeling for how it will go.

If you are short then great but just realise that there will be a big jump on any result deemed positive for Cineworld and that you won't want to be exposed to. I personally think it will be +40%. That reflecting the complete freeing from what is now a grossly overpriced 2.8 Billion deal.

*Same with Spiderman No Way Home I wouldn't be short on it as it will be the biggest movie of the year.

*Same also with any further trading update, (January probably) - the film slate you got last night for the next 6 weeks to year end. It's our best 6 week run yet.

The case centres around a carefully drafted contractual agreement in place to prevent moral hazard and that placed extremely tight restrictions on Cineplex that they had to comply with. ALL of these they had to comply with in ALL MATERIAL RESPECTS. Our case in a professional manner quite clearly showed that they didn't.

I thought he held a substantial amount of CINE bought at £1.00 that's why it seemed quiet. No doubt he'll be squirreling away shares on the quiet for Spiderman No Way Home.

Here's to a good next 6 weeks worth of films to see and the revenues to accompany them. Best run of films I think we will have had since reopening.
