The short answer is that nothing should ever surprise us @CINE as it has always moved in the converse direction to improving news. (Bond spike being the only recent exception) Expressed my thoughts on here many times over that imho it is the market makers that are moving the price back and forth just to keep churning over the same volume. Not shorters, although they are benefiting from keeping it in the range you suggest whilst the likes IMAX and AMC updates are clear for all to see and point to vast improvement.

The Bond spike shows it can move through 66p or 67p whenever it wants to and I suspect that it will readily move through it again with any of the following:
* a CINE trading update,
* any deemed positive court outcome,
* Potential for a Spiderman No Way Home spike given the films trailer viewings.

Chances of two of those happening in quick succession. Good. Chances of 3 - Possibly.

I watchlist and participate in several recovering "inside space" sellers, most of which I keep silent and @CINE being about 1/3 of its pre-pandemic share price is sat at one of the biggest discounts of them all compared to pre-pandemic share price levels.

Lady Gaga now in Milan promoting this one. Shrewd given Gucci is an Italian brand based in Florence. It may? have potential to surprise given the promo and given she has nearly 50 Million Instagram followers. One never knows.

I'm going to pick you up with a few questions on your post because there are some important points that I think you are missing in your interpretation.

1. Can you just advise if your Q4 numbers to date contain any details on the UK Box Office numbers? I ask bearing in mind that 18% of the business is in the Uk and Ireland?

2. Same question for the RoW business which accounts for another 14% of Cineworld's business?
(US now represents the balance of 68% as per website).

3. Also AMC in their reporting drew an important distinction between "attendance levels" and "attendance revenues" For this October they reported that their "attendance levels" were approximately 72% of 2019. Importantly though they further mentioned that "attendance revenues" were actually at 90% of 2019 in October? I pointed the the CFO's statement earlier but here additionally was what Adam Aron said.

"And we can tell you now that our attendance in October 2021 was 72% of that of October 2019, and admissions revenue was even stronger, almost 90% of that of October 2019.

The question is this. Can I just check that you have realised this distinction? You may therefore be underestimating things and missing out on increased revenue and the significance of pricing increases, the actual mix of the customers with more choosing to purchase the premium mix seats like Imax, ScreenX, 3D, 4DX and VIP or AMC Lux equivalents etc and a good boost from concession sales. 72% to 90% is a substantial jump.

All important questions.

Claims it makes good business sense and at $80 per barrel says it should bring in $65 to $70M of extra free cash flow for 2022.

That's not a bad rate of return on capital invested. ROCI Nearly fully paying for itself in 2 years.

Should be a decent rebound on any court outcome deemed positive, next update should show vast improvement from H1 and Spiderman No Way Home is inbound and there is a very healthy film slate right through into next year. Nota bene: SNWH trailer viewings are off the chart.

The appeal of Disney+ and streaming may have been there in the middle of the pandemic but with vaccines (and new pill forms) working and the sequential success of their recent cinematic film releases it shows that you can't beat the Big screen and what was a $43 Billion dollar industry in 2019. To be fair Disney themselves have realised this and committed to thetarical release only. It's all about the social aspect of the cinema and actually having a night out.

These numbers should keep them committed to theatrical release only now moving forward and I also just happen to think that in so doing they will also benefit greatly in the sale of the movie DVD's this Christmas. Last year there was virtually no content out there on DVD for Christmas as cinemas were shut and no films were released and this year there are lots. Cruella, Jungle Cruise, Black Widow, Shang Chi. Its a real strange proven fact that even Mooky has referred to in the past whereby people who have seen a film are more inclined to also buy the DVD.

"King Richard" - Will Smith portraying Venus and Serena William's father in their rise to tennis stardom. Clint Eastwood in "Cry Macho".

Given the progression over the last few weeks this is now moving fast, what with CNOOC signing off on their side of the FID and Kenya itself now raising such a large amount of cash to participate. Time for a holiday

It's that time of year fast approaching us again with many starting to think about Christmas Shopping. (I've already started and yes I have.)

That's not just what you are going to buy for others, but also don't forget to add yourself into the mix as well if you are struggling for ideas for your own Christmas list.

On my most recent trip to my local Cineworld I found an ideal Xmas gift for anyone devoid of ideas and with an added bonus.

Right near the Concession queues at the tills I found some carousels with Cineworld offering XMAS Gift Cards, whereby if you buy a £25 gift card (or multiples thereof) then you get an additional £5 gift card on top . So you therefore get £30 of entitlement for only £25 and get to choose from 1 of 3 different giftcard formats. Buy 2 and you get 2 X £5 gift cards. 3 and you get 3 etc...Having just checked the website you can also buy these gift cards online but will have to pay out for postage as well.

Not a bad little gift that so every £25 turns into £30 and it will also boost the company coffers as well in the Q4 period.

Bear it in mind if you go to see the Eternals, King Richard, GhostBusters Afterlife, House of Gucci, Spiderman No Way home or any others on the great December film slate. It might let somebody get a couple of Imax trips or pay the bulk of a VIP visit to the cinema.

The AMC results put in writing the improving Box Office and trajectory of things. It follows on from the same picture with the IMAX update and therefore should have good cross read for a further improving situation @CINE.

Yet the CINE share price is trending right about the same and manipulated levels that it was after it's last update - with no recognition whatsover for any improvements.

If that is down to any short positions then I shall happily repeat what I have said a number of times.

They will not wish to be exposed to.
* Any update statement off Cineworld, and it is true that prior to the pandemic - they also were in the habit of a news release in November.
* The risk of any rebound potential off any court case outcome deemed positive.
* Any Spiderman - No Way Home rally. The trailer viewings have been beyond expectation

They (AMC) may have gimmicky output to please the reddit crowd but ultimately they are in the same business as us, selling Cinema tickets, Concession food and drink, advertising space in cinemas (joint venture with us) - and in largely the same territorial markets.

There is only so long that denial of recognition for positive progress works.

Never said anything yesterday as never needed to.

The green shoots of recovery are there moving forward into what is the busiest quarter of the year for CARD.

If I have one criticism it is that they have been far too slow in moving towards online. That should have came right about the time Ms Hubbard left.

Indeed it is interesting for the low volumes point to an interesting scenario should the next update be good or any singular piece of good news arrive.
