Incidentally for those trying to trade you could have had a gifted entry point on Dark this morning at 566 to 570p (was 800p last week). Always pays to have diversified positions.

You stick to trading 1.5 to 2 points Billy whilst masquerading as an lth. Never been fooled.

My reply was to Sadanby and specifically on the topic of his post which was short positions. Maybe you answer to two ID's or perhaps have problems with your eyesight.

The last two changes to short positions were reductions so you seem to be a bit behind and that is only the ones over 0.5%. If they wish to remain exposed to the risk of any outcome viewed positive for Cineworld then good luck to them.

Given the suppression against attendance improvements and October Box office recovery and whats coming between now and the end of December there must be a good 40% to 50% to come from where we are now.

Court case has been going very well and we should be in line for another good day today.

rm722, I've followed this throughout and given Mr Steeps performance tonight imho Cineplex do need a miracle to get anything from this now.

What Mr Steep assertively and diplomatically did this evening was to:
* remind all including the judge, that the primary importance is the key wordings of the contract, * show how it was specifically constructed to minimise moral hazard and to place the risk on the seller in the interim, and
* to give key wordings their legal and literary context.

Canada does not have much jurisprudence and case law on mergers and takeovers and as such is heavily reliant on using rulings from outside the country. Delaware court and other US rulings get utilised a lot and they also make reference to UK court rulings and have in the past cited Houses of Parliament. AB Stable is a Delaware Court ruling btw.

I am not in Dark yet Wellington but I am actively tracking it as its fallen 20% already off what is a newspaper article highlighting what "might" happen. Not what has "actually" happened. Yes its multiplied since IPO but its only just entered the FTSE100 and tracker funds will be buying and following. If it gets what I think is irresistible then I may buy in stages for a trade. That's not normally my forte but its already done me proud once.

Whilst we await things adjusting back up, anybody tracking Darktrace. Near 20% drop yesterday and this morning off a newspaper article at the weekend highlighting the fact that holders with large ipo holdings see their lock-ins expire tomorrow so in theory can sell. Worth watching and it may present opportunity over the next few days.

So what happens tomorrow if none of the big lock-ins sell.

Been taken down in anticipation but what if there are no real big sellers ! Where then do we see the shareprice?

Nobody is interested at a 50% discount to the last brokers recommendation.

Oil is over $84 per barrel and TLW are making lots of free cash flow.

Its a game of patience and targeted top ups.

At the present levels,

A fall yesterday and today contrived off the fact that lock-ins will end and people "might" sell. So about a 15 % to 20% discount based on Fridays close based on that.

Versus where the sp positions itself having readied itself for that and FTSE tracker funds that will be buying the stock.

Personally if I was inclined to sell I'd be waiting to get that further 15% to 20% back.

Expecting a lot more closure prior to the next trading update.

To be fair the MM's have gifted them profit at their own expense as trade levels have dropped to a trickle compared to normal daily volumes. Unless the MM's were also short on the stock. Upon which there will be two sets of participants to close before next update.

Great news on further short reducing and only traders parked up would be unhappy at this.

Said it Sunday evening to watch for closure given Fridays massive volumes created, and I am not just talking about those shorts declared at over 0.5% but those under 0.5% and under the radar. Remember all those 250k and 500k trades and the late disclosed after market trades of 1M plus which were quite clearly buys.

I do not expect shorts to be sat exposed to any positive courtroom upside. They will not be wanting that risk.

Most people have just switched off here and hence there is no volume. Thats no volume for the market makers to make a living and no volume for shorters to close.

The oil price is up again and through $84 per barrel today and everybody knows that the share price is about 50% short of where it should realistically be. (65p imho)

It's just a game of patience and targeted top ups.

Just remember where we are roughly at - and that any reports are simply on attendances. Concession sales to add on top as well as advertising revenues, online booking fees etc etc.

The time to look back will be January with Spiderman - No Way Home, Speilbergs West Side Story, Matrix 4 and The Kings Man etc.

What Mr Aron is doing Bc2020 is very calculated. He leads the No 1 industry player and is a bastion for the industry and I for one applaud him because he is expounding all the positives in the industry and it is all aimed at building further footfall and attendances at the cinema.

People watch and read the headlines that he creates and when they see increasing attendances month on month and headlines like today's and that people are going back to the cinemas in droves, it will only serve to entice more and more back.

Not only that but with increased attendances it encourages more and more content to be released.

I already popped up his twitter feed previously on the Eternals whereby he was stating that he thought it could be another blockbuster. Don't be surprised if it is. Here it is again.

We will no doubt employ the same tactics when the time is right.

Looks like an oasis of shares was created on Friday for @short positions to close and bank if they wished. Hence the move back up. All in the timing imho.

AMC Q3 earnings hopefully later today should confirm the Imax trend that mountainous highlighted and a rebound in the Box Office for October, and from which as the No2 we would also benefit.

Then we might get some indications off the trial judge over the next 3 days as to potential verdict dates and also some indication of what her thoughts are on the legal arguments. I can't see her just letting Messr's Mark and Steed do 12 rounds over 3 days. Hopefully she will give some insight into what part of their respective legal arguments she is angling towards and as importantly those which she will not be entertaining.

Looking forward to the Q3 results given the way the oil price has trended throughout Q3.

It'll have been a good couple of months for many with a roughly 20% capital gains appreciation in the share price and a nice quarterly dividend thrown in on top.

I can't personally see the oil price weakening much at all now that we are heading into winter.

Should give us a nice reminder of just how profitable this quarter has been for so many in the oil sector, including TLW.

Worth focussing this week on who used Fridays large volume to pick up the several large caches of shares we saw traded during market hours and the several even larger ones revealed after the market had closed. Several of the latter being around 1 Million shares each. My money's on some further short closing to match the latest disclosed reduction.

They probably financially bullied the share price down under the guise of court case uncertainty to pick off impatient retail PI's shares.

But that said, having watched the case progress I personally don't think they will remain short and risk what could be a sizeable rebound coming with any result deemed positive for Cine. Expecting a good few to have completely closed up their positions and banked their profits well prior to any verdict imho.
