Dune I had openly flagged up in advance on here at Leicester Square and went as far to reiterate on Friday that it was selling a lot of tickets (on several I was watching). And all you get in reply is scepticism and "regional variations" off traders, shorters, trolls and two faced posters. Bond I also tracked myself over the weekend after I saw it advertising on tv myself and it was also still selling a surprisingly high level of tickets.

Last night I went with family to a peak time Cineworld Imax showing of Dune. The full cinema was heaving busy and the large IMAX screen we were in was packed and I will tell you what there was a lot of concession items being sold. A LOT. Good sci-fi film by the way with some good acting performances and some immense scenes in it and yes it sets up nicely for a Part 2 as lsesb has stated.

On what I saw last weekend and last night we are back to normal @UK. Better than imho. So much so that it is my intention to now step back from posting as regularly.

The trailers last night were for The Eternals and the new Ghostbusters film and there was more business advertising. McDonalds, Samsung flip, Iphone 13 as well as our own for Unlimited and Family Tickets etc.

There have been lots of Film adverts on mainstream tv tonight and I've seen several for The Adams Family 2 and also several for No Time To Die. Looks like a bit of a blitz into what is now half-term.

Don't also forget that Lateral flow tests are now replacing in some instances PCR tests and they are nowhere near as reliable, with numerous instances of false positive results.

The CFO therefore locks in the majority of production at a guaranteed and risk free rate and that is higher than previous hedges from recollection ($55 per barrel). It thereby limits any downside risk for any sets of results going forward.

Then the other 25% of production banks $84 per barrel or whatever the prevailing market rate is.

So best of both world's and you should get a relatively predictable future set of results, irrespective of oil price swings.

I think your shorters are probably playing the price knowing full well that it makes sound business sense. Gives great certainty over future cashflows that will help with budgeting and free cash flow.

Good find that forfaitor and puts a reality check on things. The UK I think should be trending higher than that. Publicising these improving audience numbers will only serve to reassure and drive more custom.

I'll keep a hold of that if you don't mind and maybe start following Adam Aron as he seems miles more vocal than Mooky in expounding the good points that are coming out of the industry. Mooky or our public relations team should be doing the same.

One of my family and their flatmates saw Dune last night and I asked them politely not to spoil it and they haven't, so really looking forward to it. I'm in Imax again with family.

Saw Venom last week myself in Imax at Sheffield plus Halloween Kills. Loved the first one. Loved the 2nd one equally as much. Venom's vocal interjections I find really really funny.

Thats just reminded me that I missed Halloween Kills off the list of availables for the weekend also. Good film also but not one to take the kids to.

Whoever is trying to manipulate the sp to get shares seems to be throwing more away than they are getting in return. I think they forget people got to watch the court case. Just imho.

Time to shut up shop and enjoy the half-term. Plenty good movies out there including 3 new films for the kids which always bring the families out. All to add to Dune, Venom, Bond, The French Despatch, Last Duel and more. Dune tomorrow evening for me.

They will all have to be bought back if the court case ends up favourable, probably before imho.

Unbelievable that one PW (TUI). It's just made 10% for a couple of mouse clicks and 4 hours patience. I agree it is cheap if you are looking at where it might be come next summer, possibly after New year bookings but it needs to let the RI consolidate and settle.

Highly observant that Walshy. Somebody is making a nice profit out of the swings.
