The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Hi Tyr,
I thought that option was removed when TDW were acquired by II. I've always bought the stock but hey, if the price increment is marginal then i suppose delayed payment is a benefit.
Let's hope we're going to get the right news that really strengthens the Casper foundations. Buying in the 2ps, a real no brainer for me but not for everybody it seems.
Market very tight. Can sell 350k @ 2.425 and buy 300k @ 2.45p. Several lths picking up stock last week, a couple picking up volume and now holding sizeable positions. I thought the sp would move considerably on the run up to likely news but not the case with sellers meeting the demand of the bottom feeders.
Historically, we'd have seen buying on the run up to deep news but our track record has curbed the enthusiasm . As with every deep, there has been the 'foreplay' pre the actual result and and that commentary has been positive in all cases ie oil filled cores with the oil interval increasing after each coring session. Finding oil is a major positive but that won't spike the sp. Maybe see a small rise but the key objective is that successful flow test without the usual problems with blockages as a result of heat and pressure. If that was the outcome at 802, they need to rethink their strategy as they are wasting time and money. An important well which IF successful, will give a great boost to Casper's confidence and sentiment will change dramatically.
Clive, no more blockages please, no more BS re stuck spanners. Now is the time deliver or accept the fact that your team is not capable of drilling these complex targets, time for a Partner with a skilled crew. Let's hope that it's 5th time lucky.
Badge, it’s a good question and one that hasn’t been answered, actually there’s a few things asked and unanswered but that’s been the situation for a long time. PIs are a minority and anybody invested here has to accept that or move on imo. Investors could complain to FCA/Nomad or form an Action Group if they want to escalate but that will achieve little.
There’s a lot of points in Adrianz post that you can’t deny but the question then, why are you still here ?? Their comms are poor, the obfuscation is there to see and I’d probably go a bit further but i’m here as I still see the opportunity and willing to run with the crap comms as I want to see the outcome of the deep campaigns, good or bad. KO has built a pile of stock, continues to chuck money at the deeps whereas he could easily divert cash by paying Divis or by other means.
It’s still going after 15 years and as far as I’m aware the oil is still down there. It’s high risk for lots of reasons but if they flow a deep there’s multiple bags to follow, we all know that. We won’t change management, it’s a closed shop and if your invested here, accept it or move on as it won’t change.
Meanwhile, 802 is progressing and will be in the 4600m zone w/c17/10 if no issues. I’d like to see news this week re oil shows to date but maybe they run to TD.
Barge news due and shallows continuing. Maybe we get Divis and a charter helps considerably. I’d like to know how much oil being sold to MRs but that’s not been answered either. All worth hanging about for but that’s my decision, good or bad.
As always, tick, tock :)
What a strange trading day. The audience is obviously split as some chunky buys and sells. The bid went back to 625k at the close and it's currently a tug of war between Bulls & Bears.
Rhertig, definitely...;) I think people are very wary even if they did announce a flowing well as we've been there before. Investors/potential investors may think that the sp won't move on positive news and hence they could sit it out and could buy more at little sp appreciation post the result ? Depends on the news and maybe they wait til a flow test is done although i think that unlikely. That's why i'm/we're here, a poke at a few deeps with an sp underpinned by current production.
Hi Mike,
Yep and as i keep saying, there aren't loads of people invested in Casper and we know what needs to happen for that to change.
I was expecting to see a real bounce from the recent low but we have such a small community trading the stock so it's range bound until sentiment changes, fundamentals are ignored. I don't get the current trading as it looks as if much of todays trading is buying but the bid has weakened considerably down to 25k so obviously sells ? The market has been 2.4-2.49p, now 2.4-2.47 but if the nig trades today at mid 2.4s are sells, i can't get access to those prices through II. Must be spread betting or people with direct access to market. We've seen leverage being squeezed and those who spread bet take that risk and maybe a lot of traders don't hold the stock ?
Regardless of the various BB commentary, we al have to make our call and i see it one way, others obviously don't. All about sentiment and there's enough on the go to change it but the big transformation comes from a deep and probability of success against looking at results to date. Still get sp appreciation if barge chartered and a resulting divi may get investor interest ? Geopolitical position easing would obviously help and possibility of exporting at healthy prices again but that's not happening anytime soon. Shallow cash cow will continue and we continue to fund operations and i stay invested to see the outcome of A8 and A5 re-drill. The wait goes on !!
Rhertig,
That's a shame. Bought in $ with the current exchange rate, it would obviously make sense to cash up and buy in the UK ? Fingers x'd that we get lucky with the next update and that these boys don't disappoint again.
Rhertig, Sell them all and buy over here ;)
Qtec, yep we are irrelevant come decision making BUT we are hugely relevant re sp as PIs dictate that.
Peeps still selling dribs and drabs, i don't get it. Tomorrow could see some more interest from those expecting news next week. Conversely, there may be selling as a result of likely news....lol.
Wolfi, yep that's what i keep saying but continue to dabble when i believe it's silly. I will definitely trade a few out on the journey north but yet again that depends on news. Great buyer, crap seller but hey, it may work to our favour if the biggie comes in.
Still have sellers and i don't get it unless forced. 2.425-2.5p currently but volumes still very low. Next weelk for an update for me but that's pure speculation.
Keep em coming Wolfi.
Re your current holding, without sharing obviously but i know you're trying to get to that round number ;)....lol. Nuffink guaranteed but we're going to know our fate re CE and 802 this month. Let's hope no packed lunches and spanners this time, they'll have to concoct a new storyline !!
Wolfi,
The world is a mess currently but Putin has or is playing his cards and the energy dependency from Western countries will reduce and his only sales routes will be to his allies and then opening Russia up to lower prices if less of an audience to sell to.
A bit more bottom feeding from PIs, the AIM rinse and repeat cycle in motion. SP on it's arze and potential positive near term news on several fronts is getting people's interest again, not wanting to be out over the weekend syndrome.
As per extract from Interims below, 802 was at 3800m but the Interims were probably completed a week prior to publication if not longer so i suspect that 802 was more progressed than the 3800m declaration on 26th. As already stated,' significant oil shows' is very positive, better than ' drilled to 3800m without incident' ! The market is not acknowledging this because of deep drilling history to date BUT it's good news regardless of sp reaction. They could be at 4200m+ if i'm correct about the timing of the 3800m statement and could have news next week if they've decided to core ? 802 is meant to be the best opportunity from a success perspective so if they find oil and mess up here then they have to get other parties involved and cede some of the upside.
802 with barge and shallow updates likely at anytime, 2.5p is not a bad entry point !!
'At Deep Well 802, has reached a depth of 3,800 meters with casing set for the 3,000 meters. We have drilled through the salt layer and already encountered significant oil shows and the usual high pressures. We look forward to completing and testing the well, which based on current progress we to be in Q4 2022.'
Rhertig,
The oil is firm there, our future depends on the ability of this mob to commercialise it. Sentiment is poor on the stock with many investors and understandably so but it won’t take much to turn this round and suddenly it’s the best thing since sliced bread and the £1 party is back on. Not over yet Rhertig and the multi bagging assets haven’t gone AWAL. Let’s hope your Condo is still achievable :)
8m !!! Our Wolfi has a chunk too so a lot of stock could be held in a few hands. We're all taking risks but with several activities on the go, hopefully the odds are in our favour re the likelihood of good news.
Crude moving north following OPEC+ cut and going to pour more misery on European energy prices. Also pain around the world inc US who won't be able to continue to support the domestic market with the SPR as it's depleting. Pressure on Biden as US consumers also feel the squeeze. Not sure how the Crude price affects the domestic and MRs prices but probably will increase and benefit Casper.
Tough times and i could do with a few positive snippets from the serial disappointer.
Hi Tyr,
I'm aware of 4 that hold 30m+, that's a fact as they are friends, that's not counting DM/Somm etc who hold volume. I can't verify the numbers but if Somm and Diver hold 16m then you can see how a large % stock is tightly held. i suppose my point is that many of the larger holders are holding volume for a reason, ie the big payday as opposed to trading profit and that they are more likely to hold.
As stated, i'm probably out with my numbers but more investors than traders means that there is less stock to trade so hopefully the sp gain is magnified as a result of a smaller churn. Imagine a CE charter, 802 success and a large DIVI. Peeps will be clamouring for stock but why would larger holders sell in that scenario ? we'd probably pour petrol on the blaze and fuel the squeeze. Nice problem to have and we'll have that discussion at the time as currently we're on our arzes looking for the flints :)
To add, that would mean that the remaining PI shareholder base would be holding c 460k shares each ? Maybe i've got this wrong as 460k at an average of 5p say is £23k. Who knows but the fact that maybe 75% of stock is held by a few holders means that there could be a nice squeeze coming dependant on the right news being delivered.
Yep, all buys to day but obviously a seller feeding the market. Maybe our Casper has done a deal on the barge and they're managing the sp to make a Divi declaration look very appealing. Probably a load of bull shoite but we're shooting in the dark most of the time. I know Clive is over this week on Investor meetings but i have no idea as to the agenda and who he's meeting.
I know some of the Investors who have been bottom feeding and their holdings are large. I do believe that there are only 400 or so PIs in this stock and as little as 10-15 holders probably hold 25% of the FF (250m). Obviously i can't confirm exact numbers but if most have the same mindset as the WCP, then stock is very tightly held and great news should see the sp move very quickly indeed.
Q4 should be busy on the news front with 142/145/802/Barge/Divi all in play. Hopefully our fortunes change.
Good to see some PIs taking advantage of the low sp. No guarantees but a little luck on a few of the current activities would transform the sp. A barge deal would give them options and a Divi declaration would be at a silly yield which should attract new investors.Drilling success following a barge deal will be transformational and dependant on success, could take us back to double figures. All ifs but at least we have the opps on the go and the cash to exploit them without dilution.
A cheap entry point for investors and some are taking advantage, good luck with it .
Am i missing something. c 2.7m buys and 1.2m sells and only up 2.2%. Waiting to see late published larger sells ?
£ just touched $1.15 so all the sensationalism from the media re the crash to £1.03 has subsided. Let's hope the sell our way out of trouble is going to work but the challenges are huge, Putin being the biggest one. He continues to sabre rattle and hopefully his nuclear missile convoys are pure bravado. I can't believe he invaded Ukraine and now the pressure is building on him as Ukraine continue to make offensive progress.
C'mon Clive, you owe us a few good RNSs and this week would be good :)
