There's a very healthy appetite for stock, 1.3m currently as news update getting ever nearer. Over 5 weeks passed since last update and the 802 drill bit will or should be at c 5000m. It's the right time of the year for pyrotechnic displays, will it be rockets or damp squibs ?

Morning DM. I didn’t like those late 500k sells but as usual, we’re in the dark. As we know, we’re priced as if we’re struggling for funds and not able to continue operations whereas we’re actually profitable and set to continue. Market malaise and Putin dragging down many stocks, that and inflation but won’t take much to reverse the trend here, fingers c’d.

Bid price has weakened from 2.31 to 2.263 but bid volume up to 775k. Some peeps are bottom feeding, let's hope they're all rewarded with some positive operational news. One of the 500ks is a sell, not sure about the 'unknown' one . Bid is strong so must be some demand and a bargain at this price, hopefully !!

24/25.....lol, god help you. We will know our fate in 23 re the big opportunities ie the deeps. I'm not waiting around for BNG part 2 unless they start to get successful on existing opps.

A5 TD was always 4700m and yep they encountered oil @ c 4300m and decided to carry on to determine the size of the oil bearing interval but hit the heat/pressure issues that curtailed activities @ c 4700m. The oil is there and Caspian won't drop the A block deeps until they've exhausted all avenues to get them flowing. If they fail, they'll partner and move onto Block 8 but that won't be for some time yet. They've flowed it open hole but the structure got blocked and they've perforated and same story so the conundrum remains.

Over a month since Interims update and the wait continues.

Somm, they thought 811 was part of A5, I don’t see 802 being part of it either. Hundreds v thousands, I’d take anything commercial as it would build confidence before they divert attention to A7 and A5.

We’ll into the A8 targeted reservoir, can’t be long before we get news. They’ve always updated when they get to this level and have never gone to TD without communication .

Let's hope 802 is a winner but i'm not expecting 1000s of barrels, could be in the 100s as per the Block 8 wells. The important factor is the reserves so hopefully we're going to see P1/P2 as expected or better. The Soviets had a blow out so hopefully the oil is there and in commercial quantities, question is, can they flow it.

I'm expecting news pre TD.

Somm, yep, not buying back stock and not going private. Was speaking to somebody last week who has worked in the oil industry all his life and stated that the seismic shows nothing re possible structure on 802 @ 5300m. He was looking back at the 2018 IP Slide 21/22 and commented '

'Some of the structures have some quite steep sides, while the field also contains mapped faults. Furthermore, the seismic is not only poor quality anyway (IIRC), salt is one of the worst attenuators of sound energy. It's possible on slide 22 that there are some escaped gas clouds above the V1 line, which additionally murky the waters. In other words, there's a high degree of uncertainty in these deeper structures.'

Maybe they have to drill to 5300m to satisfy licence requirements ? I'm expecting news anytime, hopefully tomorrow.

It’s a funny ole game. Almost zero trading til late on Friday and then a late reported trade of 1.5m followed by a flurry of activity yesterday and minimal sp movement. Back in the box !

Looks like news likely this week. Really important that we get really positive news that changes sentiment here and attracts more interest from other parties. If we are fortunate to get good news, will we see a muted sp rise as a result of geopolitical tensions or will investors see the strengthening fundamentals as a no brainer ?

All gone a little blue over last hour or so but sp still down ? Bid up to 650k and improving but what's with the 250k trades ?? Anybody care to enlighten us ?

If the 1.5m was a sell the bid would be weak but it's 400k as of now. MMs are playing around and many of the trades are late reported and cant gauge whether they're buys or sells. Regardless, we wait for news and i'm expecting to see something this week. If we don't get it, that means they have little to say and operations are continuing.

802 - Should be at c4600m and to announce progress or are they going on to 5300m ?
Barge - Update imminent and the longer it goes on the less likely we'll get it chartered and ready for 23 season
Divis - Declared in Nov, paid in December, may get an update with next operational

Tyr, nice one, good luck with it. It was the late reported trade as below that i thought maybe a buy as market was 2.31. Thinking about it, it's probably a sell by somebody with direct access to market and probably a spread bet. Is leverage continuing to get squeezed ? Seems like we're still matching trades and any buy action is matched with selling and the MMs playing their games with late reported trades.
