RE: Current sp24 Aug 2021 11:17
I'm happy with the Brent bounce and going to have a little poke at $70 as $ weakens.
Interesting when you look back at Crude prices over the last 50 years to see the average prices. Oil ranged from $12-$38 over 20 years to 2004 and the average price was only $22 ! From 2005 to date, the average price has been $74 distorted by the 2011-2014 period whereby it averaged $108 caused by supply issues, Libya crisis etc and i remember Goldman Sucks quoting $130, same as their quoting $100 today. Crude averaged $100 in 2008 too in the midst of the financial crash and reached $159 as an all time high.
Crude averaging $66 this year and probably will be over $70 if it reaches $80 over last 4 moths, the highest average price over the last 7 years and great for Caspian if they can build production.
We've bought our tickets, sitting on the runway in a queue, waiting to take off or to be told that we have a Covid case onboard and return to base. As stated, 154 continued production, 153 success and SY licence gives this a proper boost and the only way it doesn't move to 5/6p+ is if our latest share recipients decide to sell but i don't see why if horizontal drilling changes the game.
Whatever your game. theres 3 bags available from the recent low and more if shallow production builds. I will be hanging around til the end to see if they can get lucky with the other assets and they'll probably add more acreage if they create cash and get presented with opportunity.
Please don't disappoint Clive, now is the time to create that real shareholder value you've talked about for 14 years.
