Spot on appychappy, although looking at the update the SP would probably have gone down if anyone had early sight of it. Must have been the expectation of something better, for once, but it's the same old, same old...

Just to add, according to the HL website, the top 10 holdings of Octopus AIM VCT include Learning Technologies, GB Group, Breedon Group, Ergomed & Ixico. There's no mention of BKS. Total assets of £192m, so you'd expect the BKS investment to appear here now if that's what it is. There's always a lag between share purchases and updated holdings, so I'll keep an eye on it. K

fdh they've added over 6.5 million shares (c.£80m) so unlikely to be an accumulation of PI investments. The VCT fund sounds a much more likely option to me. It's often difficult to follow the money unfortunately, there's just not enough transparency to be able to see where the investment has been made. It might be feasible to track the appropriate funds and see if they flag an increase in % holdings of BKS. That's all I can suggest? Whatever it is, it's good news for the SP going forward.

to everyone who has given feedback following the presentation. All seems very positive to me, if even 10% of the potential good news in the pipeline comes off here it'll mean a significant rerate. A good day to be holding SAR, for sure.

sidi I just checked on SUPR where I also have a position, they raised funds last month with an "expected" date of admission but nothing to confirm it. Perhaps they're only required to notify the market if the shares are not admitted on the expected date?

Spot on nezlob, my buy order at 102 triggered this morning which was a nice surprise. That'll do me for now, unless it dips below £1.00. Hopefully this will be the last raise for a while now & they will work towards getting maximum return on our investment.

Thanks dusty. They haven't exactly helped to clear the mist have they? "readily realisable assets"? Bonds? Bullion? Watches?? Cattle??? After the last (reported) dividend distribution, the distributable reserve had dropped to £346m but as you pointed out in your original post, that's enough to cover the dividend for years ahead even without income from investments.

Like you, I'm very happy with my investment here. My only issue now is that the SP seems to be catching up with the true value inherent here, so the yield on any new shares I bought would now be less than 5%. My current shares are earning over 6%, so I'll try to raise some funds to use in the event of a pullback in the SP. That looks unlikely for now though I have to say.

dusty42, I'm not an accountant or anything similar but everything I've read about a distributable reserve suggests it is just that, money put aside by a Trust during good times (up to 15% of distributable funds p.a.) to cover liabilities, including dividend cover, during leaner times. If this is indeed the case, EAT looks to be in a very healthy position currently. K

Every time there is a fund raise, the new shareholders take money out of the company with their dividends before the money is invested and actually earning the dividends." and "I sold half a few weeks ago when the plans were made known, and the rest at 105p when the announcement was finally made. Plenty of companies out there who do respect their small investors."

OK so if I'm going to use PrimaryBid's app using my own money here's what I'm going to need:
Secure login with strong authentication.
The ability to securely transfer money into a client account in my own name.
Visibility of my money at all stages.
In-app notification of details of any transactions undertaken by PrimaryBid on my behalf, with my money.
In-app notification of secure transfer of shares from PrimaryBid to my broker.
In-app notification of secure transfer of any remaining funds from my client account to my bank account.

Since it doesn't appear to offer any of these things, I won't be using the app until such time as it does. I wouldn't bank with anyone who didn't offer this minimum level of security. Why would I apply different standards to share dealing?

If £1.90 was a resistance point it's given up today. Hoping for a positive trading statement next week with subsequent push towards £2.00 and maybe beyond.

Just been catching up with the excitement on GSK. Meanwhile I see our SP has slipped back into Warthog territory.

We could definitely do with some news. Just a little morsel to take the pain away?
