A house price crash is still a possibility (it's always a possibility...) but I don't think it's likely. Things haven't been great for housebuilders for a while now: Covid certainly hasn't helped; Brexit (labour and materials shortages, inflation); government schemes rolling back (furlough, HtB, stamp duty holiday). But against that backdrop, the housebuilders are actually doing quite well. Viewings and completions are rising rapidly (based on HMRC records), house prices are still rising way above the rate of inflation (10.2% year-on-year in March, according to Land Registry) and the bigger builders have been impacted less (so far) by the worldwide shortage of building materials. Far from selling out, Buy to Let investors are enjoying growing returns from increased demand for rented accommodation coupled with restricted supply.
The SP has been flirting with £1.70 for a while now, if it recovers to £1.75 I'll take that as a buy signal and add to my holding with a target price range of £2.00 - £2.20.

You're right there Tjb68. I'm in KDNC & it's been a rotten investment, just starting to show some signs of life now though. GSF has been much better, Irish government paying over the odds for battery capacity to balance their grid. Should prove to be a shrewd move in the long term.

Good for you kievsky, keep trying. If I had a bit of free cash I'd be looking to buy some more too. It does feel that transformational news could come at any time now. Although I've been thinking that for 12 years now so I might not be the best judge.

I was too late as usual potnak, I didn't really think the "inhaled" aspect for IFN-beta would have such a dramatic impact as it appears to have. Looking at the SP drop over there it's very tempting to have another look I must say.

SNG is a great comparator for the Covid potential here. Their USP is inhaled interferon beta and PII results have been very encouraging so far. PIII commenced in December with results due H2 2021. I don't see us being in direct competition with them, more the potential for another tool in the toolbox for clinicians treating patients at different stages of disease presentation.

I reinvest the dividend on shares in my trading a/c, and taking that into account my average is just below 98. I'll be moving my new shares from my trading a/c into my ISA at some point this year, at which point I'll start drawing the dividend. To be honest, with a dividend yield of about 6.5% at this sp, I'm not too worried about a few pennies up or down. All things being equal, GSF will return all my money to me in dividends in about 12 - 13 years. That's not bad is it?

Fair enough Thoth, Potnak, but this morning's exchanges have flushed out an important point going forward. It appears that an unregulated organisation can post non-regulatory notices on here that LSE choose to interpret as an "RNS" which can wipe 10% off the SP at a stroke. So what's next? Charlie posting his bile as "fact" issued by the company? Wide open to manipulation when AIM is already akin to the wild west. Others may have been aware of this but I certainly wasn't.

Russky, it's not. The red dot says it's an RNS but when you go in & look, it says EQS next to the listing, not RNS. See other posts below. Why is anybody's guess.

They could have - should have in my view - got rid of all this uncertainty by raising working capital at 2.00. Everyone would have moaned about the discount, then the SP would have slowly recovered back to around yesterday's closing price. Instead we're 12% down, the placing is still required this quarter or next and they'll be lucky to get it away above 1.50. All they needed to do was read the comments on this board, everyone knew it was coming - just get on and do it!
