Ignore the attention seeker. Just read the two articles - short answer - I think they are guessing a bit. Part if one article says shareholder wipe out then later it states debt for EQUITY . Ok current shareholders might end up with a tiny fraction of new total capital but company could still remain listed. The other article mentions long term debt needs sorting next year - I didn't realise we had 2020 dated bonds. Totally accept it's not looking good but I rather wait for a RNS . Anyone else want Smartie2 suspended :-)

Do you always post just after Mega then Daniel - joined at the hip? It's not being sanctimonious - it's wondering why NOW you have both appeared - Debenhams problems have been dragging on for months - at least Daniel is honest enough to say he/she is actually HOPING for a pre-pack.. Why? Answer: because i will make money from my short if the company goes belly up ... these guys have no morals... no concerns about anyone else but themselves.. I know people who have worked at Debenhams for 30 years - EVERYONE should want this company to continue - it's been part of the high street for sixty year (well accept some competitors) - trade the share - fine. Make some money on your short - make some money on your long position - fine. However actually wanting the END result to be administration is .. quite simply... shameful

Well if you need a history lesson - been on this website 7-8 years and initially having a massive SIPP to play with - I was a very active trader - probably having 30-40 AIM shares on the go at any one time - thankfully in recent years I have calmed down a bit to trade less etc. So obviously it's common sense that if you have been on here years you might have posted a lot - indeed there are posters on LSE with over 100k posts. History lesson over - if I am fair - a few of us here could do with learning some people skills - including me - but at least I hold so have some justification in sometimes being a bit heated in my posts

Actually.. some remoaners (sorry) actually do feel a no deal is literally the end of the world :-)

Is that what you want? Administration? (just to prove yourself right on selling out).. Pearls - yes having problems.. on and off...

If shareholders do not know what his final plans are for the company - then it's like voting for a blind Brexit... he would find it far easier to force administration controlling all the levers and then getting the company for zlitch... the surprise is that he doesn't realise that we know !!

The games continue - I wonder if the recent holding RNSs have anything to do with the "SPD/nominee account" explanation re delay of EGM? So two points arise from this 1) when will it happen and is it too late for MA re loan(s) being secured via D4E/CVA first ahead of meeting (being positive here as per usual) and 2) SPD holds 29.9% - can he secure a majority to approve his appointment? MA really first needs to be clear what his future intentions are before shareholders agree to this ..

So bondholders will act like turkeys voting for Christmas and say no to any refinancing?? Doubt it. Various shareholders perhaps ..

Unless you can proved it don't say it will happen. Have you forgotten the company is talking to the banks or can accept a £150 million loan from MA? Until all options are explored no one here can say for sure what will happen.

If the company needs more time to arrange a CVA or to restructure then they will have to pay this quarter rents - simple. If funding isn't in place and no deal agreed then the risk is that th rents will not be paid on Monday - simple. We will know by Monday one way or the other. I hope for employees, concessions and suppliers/landlords it's a deal. If some remember I top sliced on a recent spike so I am more interested in the company surviving than personal gain. Most shareholders are sitting on losses already and most shorters could bank their profits anytime.

AGM? What a naïve thing to say - for a start many of the shareholders posting here may have only acquired the shares in recent months AFTER the last AGM - if we don't vote in future AGMs then fair enough - I vote - I have actually attended a number of AGMS - you can hear info not well known (future plans etc). Do shorters attend AGMs? :-)

All I will say is that several times I sold out and within a short period the share had news and doubled - sods law. If you do decide to sell - my advice will be not to keep monitoring as it will drive you nuts - saying this from experience

I blame the EU :-) some of the regulations and costs have come directly from there..

DC2007 - do you seriously believe any director will be able to buy/sell at the moment considering they are privy to sensitive information on how probable it will be to sort out funding and/or issue new shares in exchange for debt? As for the large seller - of course it's not a good sign - I am not pretending everything is rosy here am I? I just get annoyed that the vultures appear from nowhere - because anyone can look for the bombed out shares and post on them - I have more respect for the LTHs or posters here (Smartie2 is actually quite new - two months roughly) like sains@vision who to be fair pointed out the CVA route long before anyone else.
Remember shorts can call a share right - but there must also be countless times when they call it wrong - it only takes a new agreement - funding - an unexpected good news RNS - to push a share price up 50% here OR anywhere else but its human nature not to admit the investments we called wrong (and I have called plenty wrong)

I will not take your vile language on people who decide to iINVEST rather than short and bet on a company failing - if that's the type of behaviour that you like ... first it was "mugs" know it is "schmucks" .. admin remind these (new here) posters to keep it civil. Daniel - strange .. you posted on Interserve .. like Mega.. you must think we are idiots - we can see when posters may be working together... both appearing this week - why not just admit you work for a hedge fund and be done with it?
Sains - fair comment - a job is a job though - whether it's for a hour or for 40 hours - would you rather we go back to 3 million unemployment and low employment? People just love to knock this country...
Smartie - any more snide remarks and I will be reporting you again too - I made a comparision with Next - both in retail - both at admins door - Next recovered - so did Mothercare recently - just don't rule out Debenhams finding a way out of this mess - I totally accept its not guaranteed .. but at 3p ... there's just as good a case to invest than to short at this level - a 1p movement now is 33% either way...

Yep - but at least I have funds at stake to validate my moaning - some here seem to have a very personal issue with the CEO and his salary - just not sure if the issue is the salary .. or the CEO .. or both :-) However it's the case across AIM not just here! As for a shambles - there has been quite a few RNSs over the last year and new tie ups / agreements - I like the direction of travel - better late than never - but totally agree it actually needs to translate into revenue and eventually ... profits .. otherwise it will be fund raising after fund raising aka the past history here
