To reiterate; that RNS was not company specific information released by the company. Just a cut n paste job....

Instead of firing off at me, why not spend your time in an effort to e mail Stephanie at Capita IR.

EXACTLY T. Not from Capita, just a cut n paste from Ofgem. The point i was trying to make was that are Capita constrained by MAR rules on the release of company specific information that may affect the share price during the one month 'close period'.

They are clearly saying nothing, and i was asking you if this might be the reason.

No wonder Tren rarely comes here to post.

Drop is NOT everything to do with the RNS. Drop is because the SP has risen eighty one percent in less than 3 months, so some are selling out before H1 (as Tren has done actually)

So, Capita did not disclose any internal company information then. It was certain people here who din't read the RNS correctly.

So the MAR rule applies. How about one of you fine folks contact Capita IR to clear this matter up?

That RNS did not contain details that would have effect on the SP. You fools are admitting such as you all ask why is the company saying nothing.....Kipper despairs! Maybe this is the reason WHY the company is saying nothing.

Readup on Closed Periods and then read the RNS.......

Not insignificant indeed. If i have my sums right at 350p our Market Cap was at £416m. At 300p that would give us a valuation of £357m. That's a whopping £59m knocked off the value of the company (of c15%). Surely that's an overreaction to DSS news?

Tren's decision to sell a few at 340p and possibly buy back the same amount at 300p may proove to be of 'Warrenesk' quality. Wouldn't blame you if you did T. Good call......

Still see this as a buying opportunity Lordy. Take 350p as year high. At 300p that's a 15% drop. To me that's overdone; might even be manipulated to a degree by those nice people that 'make the market'. RS at Shore has done his two penneth too. Getting interesting....

I don't see any dividends for a while. In fact a share buyback program with any spare cash is maybe more likely. Given that, a depressed SP would be an advantage. About 7 trading day's till H1. Only an opinion, please don't kick my shins in!

I think we agree Tren that any 'buy in' point is relative to each investors time horizons. But am sure some p*rat will come along at some point in the future, if/when the SP rises to over 345p, and inform you that you are wrong. What they don't take into account is what you did with that money. Especially when Ocado ar twelve quid......

@Tren, agree with much of that. But would add that to the med to long term Capita investor whether you buy in ay 325, 336 or 340 will be irrelevant if your research convinces you that the SP will rise well over this level. Not knocking you for locking in some profits, have been moving to more cash myself. Sold out totally in Vod & Bhp. But here's the thing; both of those respective share prices have continued to rise. So was i right or was i wrong to sell? The answer is that it is differant for each investor. Never wrong to lock in profits....good luck with Ocado

@SimPil, so are you suggesting that because the DSS contract is due to be tendered for in the next year or so, that someone is attempting to muddy the water for Capita so as to gain some kind of advantage in the bidding process? If yes, i don't see that mud being particularly sticky. SP seems to have levelled off after that 5% drop yesterday. Not convinced all of that was down to DSS news anyway. Just some reducing their position prior to H1 results as a hedge. Possibly even taken out an Option to cover.....

There is another here who tends to Crow about how far he can do it. For myself i very rarely, if ever, on any of these boards, say how big my holding is as there is always someone with a larger one......

Any share price that has risen 81% in under 3 months (since split) can expect to cool a little prior to incoming results. So, to me, a 5% drop on some over hyped news is not a worry. A buying opportunity to my mind; at 300p anyway, lets see what tomorrow brings.....

For myself i don't see anything of great concern here. Indeed, for those with less than 1.2m shares it may be an excellant buying opportunity. I have my long term holding in my Growth p/f, but may be tempted to buy some more standalone shares if the price drops to say 300p with an intention to sell of at circ400p. I see 400p as very achievabe on the run up to the end of the year/Dec update.

Am now 28% in cash after sales in VOD, COIN & BHP. Locked in some profits but thought i had too much 'in the market'. Perhaps some capital for when Trump crashes the market (again)

Craig, so 2 years ago he gave a TP of 30p which would now be 450p. That was before JL got the chop and AH took over. Since then we have seen Capita being turned around with Staveley & Oasis buying in and Banks queing up to lend us money. Yet this guy see's 'headwinds'. Has RS been told to write this c*ap? You have to wonder about peoples motivations! DYOR....
