Exactly the same thing happened over on ADVFN CPI board. Taken over by this Green Box idiot, where other idiots joined in. Trashed the board to the gutter. Most with a brain left, some coming here. Aside from the tanking economy, another thing about Capita i'm wary of is the Union element. Not a fan at all of Unions.....

It's an investment forum friend. You would do well not to get sucked into the Green Box level of mentality. You've posted excellent comments in the past; some i agree with & some not....you see Capita or it's 30,000+ employees being immune to economic downturn?? I want your opinion....

So, let me get this right. Capita will be immune to any global downturn? Bailey is just saying projected inflation is expected to rise above 3.75%, where in February 2% was predicted. Exceptionally worrying for the UK economy. Capita will be immune from all of this? The 30,000+ employees will see their travel costs & mortgage costs rise as over £2 a litre & interest rates rise to combat inflation. Energy prices, food prices, all will rise. Employees will demand higher wages via their Unions. Capita will be immune from all of this carnage??

Hopefully @Sim. On the macro front i see Brent has surged to over $125, with Iran saying $140 will be soon. Straights of Hormuz shows no sign of opening. Interest rate drops now on hold. Inflation tipped to increase. Things are not looking good on the economy side, for UK or anyone, and can not be ignored. Plus we have Reeves hammering business; Premier Inn axeing 4,000 jobs today. Good to hear Capita is turning things around and winning awards, but also it is not immune to all of what is happening. But yes, nice to hear some good news from the company.....

@JM, yes, Meta beat on everything. But think capex spooked market. Off 7% PM.

Elsewhere is see Brent has gone over $111. Everything is going to get much more expensive. Which will follow through with increase in inflation. BoE holding or increasing rates. All bad news for the UK economy.
