Disregard my last comment about empty plane. The plane would be full outbound taking pax to the ship but empty on return leg.

Mathsprof is correct but there are also some capacity problems with the airlines. A Transatlantic would mean flying out an empty plane to return those passengers . Additionally Azura has been bobbing around for 18 months so a TA gives them a chance to shake it down. K

Britannia is in the Caribbean, soon to be joined by Azura. Ventura and Iona are doing Canaries and Europe. The Ventura will do longer round trips to the Caribbean in January and later Caribbean and USA all well booked , some sold out.
The Aurora and Arcadia will resume sailings next Spring. So UK bit of Carnival looks to be doing OK.

Friend on P&O Iona just now advises she is running with 80% capacity .

CR, The debt just a trifling $25 billion parts of which they have renegotiated on more favourable term a few times but it is a heavy burden for years to come. Don't expect a Divi in the near future.
Despite that, I see the upside and have put a buy order in at £15.25.
I've been in 10 years, seen £50 and £7 buy and sell but always kept enough for shareholder benefits as we cruise a lot.

As more vessels return to operations and more destinations open up it should boost CCL.
A smaller, more fuel efficient fleet and savings they've identified in the pause should show.
I'd also like to think they hedged a lot of fuel when it was at its lowest for years. If it dips below £15.50, I shall tuck awayba few more as I did some weeks back. K

Had to cancel our cruise for 13th November due to Covid.
Respect to P&O they accepted cancellation without question or charge and issued Future Cruise Credit promptly.
I said sorry about this and the reply was no problem we have a waiting list of people who can travel at short notice on all our cruises.
Bookings very strong well into 2022.

Worth noting that Carnival has a very high number of Personal Investors who cruise, and are invested for On Board Credits granted to shareholders across the brands rather than divs and SP. These less sophisticated PI s ( in terms of investing) are less likely to bail or buy on SP movement and are rather passive but happier now cruises have resumed. K
