I rather like sea days ( in good weather) Outdoors all day, few drinks, nice dinner, a show.
Don't see many dolphins or whales from a hotel balcony.

I read that Rio Tinto bought the Rincon Lithium mine in Argentina for big money.
Had to quickly look up Rincon Resources assets again but alas, no Christmas bonus. K

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

$2.6 Billion loss for 4th quarter but trading nearly 4% up in US despite results falling short of expectations. K

It closed 4% up in New York. Market realised it was rather cheap compared to rival cruise lines.
Yoyo will resume on Monday as traders take profits. K

Word is they are looking to sell or float some overseas brands. So CCL UK, Aida in Germany and Costa in Italy are under feasability review.
I'm sure this is nothing new, all brands probably scrutinised since Covid impacted the business. K

I started off a whale, came back 5Kgs lighter!
Gym /sauna most sea days . Walked 14k in Sydney and 15k in Singapore . P&O big boys breakfast only on Sundays. Only drank beer ashore .
We had a no drink day on the day we crossed the International Dateline and list a day. Lol. K

That's a lot of sea days. We did 114 night WC with 38 calls and full transits of Panama & Suez canals.
Longest sea stretch was 5 days.
Love to do it again but many of those ports no longer available. K

Heard from a friend that his pal who is a “ player “ in one of the big accountancy firms never turned up for kids footy on Sunday, which normally he never misses. His wife was there and when asked she let slip he was working on something big in the cruise industry and had spent a lot of time in Southampton . Just a bit of tittle tattle but I thought I’d mention it. Anyone have any ideas ?

Just keep in mind that a lot of recent sailings and upcoming bookings are not new income.
Many folks have used Future Cruise Credits from earlier cancelled cruises usually 125% of original booking. This will take time to work through before pure new bookings reflect on income.
