I'm intrigued by Zib's hypothesis earlier, that shorters are locked in to the Quantity of borrowed shares they have sold, even in the event of a consolidation...(ie 100 shares shorted needs 100 shares replaced, even after consolidation)

If that is the case, then by my reckoning if ZM did consolidate at 100:1 prior to resumption of trading, and there was an overall 1% short position, it would only be possible to close them all by buying every share in the company.

Hence I think Zib may be incorrect with that theory (but happy to be corrected). If true though, no wonder the shorters are squirming..

Think I will sleep well on that thought.

Surely CFD and straight short positions would recalculate for consolidation in the same way as the overall value of our holdings remains the same?

Just staying out of reach until the deals are sorted should be enough to stuff most of them...

Im totally with you re being left to concentrate for now, and have emailed BigDouble indicating exactly that.

However, should it come to it, at least I now have his contact details stored and will add my voice should we need further pressure applied in future.

I was in the middle of a 7 hour drive when the RNS came out. It gave me time away from the board to think without others's influence. My current thoughts on the situation.

The bad:
No nomad appointed (or apparently prepared to commence DD)
Witheld information re loan status
No newsflow from the company

The not so bad:(assuming you dont need the money urgently)
We still hold shares, albeit in a private Co
Court case ongoing
Major still in negotiations ( I take this to be the "other major" BP, as the BH MOU is already public)
YJ posting on behalf of FRR/ZM saying "watch this space"
ZMs direct reply to Mole in the positive
Even Jo at Cairns has apparently stated that ZM was fully behind us shareholders and the business, and that was after he resigned.

Overall, if this is a scam then (as others have said) BP, the Atlantic council etc would not want to be associated with it.

Its a bump in the road, whether that bump is a sleeping policeman or the Notrh Face of Everest is yet to be seen

Delisting is one thing, but actively going private may change the timescales.

We still hold shares, and while we cant cash them in at present, if we get the deals mooted, then dividends in future will be your income source. Who knows, if the deals are big enough, relisting may bypass AIM and go straight to the FTsE 250

Wouldnt surprise me if they've taken it down temprarily at least...there's a lot of hate and vitriol out there at the moment.

I'm not in that crowd, and for various reasons still believe we will be ok here.
