Stickdake the npv is completely and utterly irrelevant in any oil and gas share if you can’t get it out of the ground commercially !! Ast have proven 100% that they haven’t been able to work this commercially, and surely that’s what any acquirer would point out in negotiations!!

What ast are owed has absolutely nothing to do with any offer, as is the case with any business...What would you say to a potential acquirer, we’re owed €43m and you’ll get that back in 20 yrs at current revenue levels unless you spend about another €43m over the next 5-10 yrs..oh and by the way we want £50m on top of that for the asset !!

There are dozens of large old international oil and gas fields that have huge unexploited reserves that are available for next to nothing I.e a few million..that’s what so many people who are don’t seem to understand. Tell me how much did ast pay for this asset ?

No it’s miles away from coherently having any significance. There may be 4/5 interested parties who have signed nda’s that doesn’t mean they’re interested in paying anything substantial for the asset for the reasons I previously stated ..hotshot the asset would supply 10%?of Slovenia’s gas requirements...slovenia has a population of 2m people!! so yes on an international scale completely insignificant field !

Ast have spent €43m to generate completely insignificant revenue. They’ve categorically proven thus far that the field is not commercial. Developing the field into anything worthwhile and building the plant once permit is granted is going to cost further 10’s of millions . Who is all honestly is going to come along and offer big money for a failed company with a field that In truth is pretty irrelevant on an international scale, and to top it off in a jurisdiction where the government and it’s departments have hardly proved to be accommodating and business friendly ? I would suggest the end outcome will probably be a takeover where ast shareholders get given shares in the company taking the asset on ..good luck though !
