I read they stopped mining because gold was $300 an ounce and they cost to extract from the mine was $1000. Even with a Welsh gold premium of x3 thry would have still been making a loss

Has anyone else noticed whenever they post anything from the clogau mine they always use the hashtag #GOLD in big capital letters

I’m not sure if this is subliminal messages or a coincidence but we’ll soon find out

Kingkong that’s one of the things I’m looking forward to when the pandemic is over and the shares have come through for us all - going to Cardiff and picking out some Clogau jewellery as a memento. They hopefully will be selling pure clogau gold rings by then too...

I find the commercial side of things really interesting. Like you say because an American firm has been approached it sounds like there’s no exclusivity with the clogau brand. The clogau brand will definitely want to buy up the gold bit if there is a lot of gold it interests me what Alba will do with the excess and it will all come down to any caveats that they may put into the contracts with buyers such as Clogau about who is allowed to also sell it.

I’ve asked this a couple of weeks ago but got no replies so while we’re on the subject I thought I’d ask again-

The clogau jewellery brands USP is the fact they put a bit of clogau gold into their jewellery so I’m wondering what would happen in terms of do they get first refusal on any gold that gets mined? Is there some sort of long standing contract with GMOW for example? They are very limited with clogau gold so only put a bit into the jewellery nowadays so I imagine they would want to purchase quite a lot as then they could make pure clogau engagement and wedding rings etc. But I do wonder about the exclusivity factor of it and what would happen if this JV happens in America with a different brand. I’m just thinking ahead to the commerciality of it all and very interested in particular of any clauses or caveats if there is any long term contract with clogau or if that ceased when the mining stopped

2p feels a bit cheap for me to start selling but I got in later than most of you and hold less than most of you so I need to try and sit on my hands with these to make the most of them.
I think I would be tempted to sell 20% at over 2p to get back my original investment and keep the other 80% in. However I’m getting ahead of myself here as it all depends on the results yet

Kind of surprised some people want to sell based on lockdown news. Although this share will probably drop like the rest of the shares on the market will drop, due to panic selling I think it will recover quickly within the week. Feeling good having my money in Boo right now, will hold for the probably drop on Monday and it won’t worry me as know it’ll soon be over £3 again before lockdowns over

I think a lockdown will affect the share price, just because it doesn’t really matter what the share is money will get taken out of the markets just like the first time round but probably to a lesser extent. I don’t think it’ll be a massive drop or anything though but wouldn’t surprise me to see 10-15% down that day

I’m not ramping here at all and it’s your money and your decision but 0.5 is not much at all, we’ve been above that a few times the last few weeks. It won’t take much positive news to get to 0.6p from where we are now.

I’m in the red with Alba and have bought a handful of times between 0.36-0.53. I can’t imagine how I would feel selling at 0.5 to then see them get a good RNS about clogau and the price is 1p on opening and there’s no shares available for me to get back in. That’s why I’m holding for gold

I think people are expecting too much from this share too quickly. Last week a few people were moaning we were getting too many updates about nothing, this week it’s because they’ve gone quiet. Maybe GF can do a tweet about what he had for breakfast today to keep them happy?!

Can anyone explain what will happen in terms of the clogau jewellery brand and any gold that is mined? I’m guessing there is some contract that they get first dibs on any gold but what would happen if it’s so much gold they can’t afford to buy it all? Also there’s talk of an America’s jewellery JV with Alba isn’t there so I’m wondering where the clogau brand fits in with all that as Clogaus USP is their exclusive welsh gold.

Was not expecting this today, I’m for once more in profit with Thor than Alba :0) and in profit for the very first time with Thor since first buying a month ago. Going to top up again today

Wasn’t concerned at all by the PWC news and think it was old news anyway but the fact that no one is interested in tendering is now concerning to me. I’d have put money on them chomping for a piece of it so why they’re not is now starting to concern me.

However as a long term holder I’m not overly worried with the drop as won’t be selling any time soon but it’s not nice to see and obviously didn’t see it coming last week. Sentiment for boo is bad right now, it could all still be a storm in a tea cup so try not to worry too much all.

I’m more concerned about the witch hunt going on here by the media than their actual claims and stories every week. This is a non story, boohoo have confirmed theirselves that PWC has not resigned.
For me nothing has changed within the company since the SP hit over 3.80, I have no doubts we’ll see it again in the next few months

I don’t understand why people are getting annoyed when the herd arrives? Surely that’s what long term investors on here wanted? This share price is driven by private investors so surely the more attention the better or did you want it to stay at under 0.1p forever?
I understand an influx of new posters on a board doesn’t always go down well but just mute any of “the herd” that you don’t want to read posts from.
