We haven’t really learned much that we didn’t already know, but it is painful seeing it in black and white. We knew the results would be bad, we know they need to raise funds, we know that their business is dependant on blockbusters being released.

Did notice one paragraph where it listed the importance of films being released and not pushed and it’s already out of date and all the blockbusters such as Marvel/ Disney and Wonder Woman etc have been pushed. The only one on their list that hasn’t been pushed is Bond so really the rest of 2020 is dependant on Bind getting released on time. I actually think it could happen now that every other blockbuster has been pushed- it could get a nice long run at the cinemas with no competition.

Actually happy with the share price holding up so well as I expected under 40p. Results were never going to cause a blue day contrary to popular believe by rampers on here. I won’t be doing an under 40p top up when it inevitably does drop under whenever that happens though as I feel its just too uncertain for me with all the film delays.

There’s a lot of negativity around this share but honestly it’s risen by £1 since it bottomed out in July.
Yes we are all here to make money on it, yes the faster we do the better but honestly how can people moan it’s stagnant? Maybe in a years time if it’s still in the £3.15 range loan it’s stagnant then but it’s only been just over two months and it’s risen by a pound already WITHOUT any positive results yet throen into the mix. This is a long term hold for sure, stop moaning lmao

I couldn’t decide between buying GGP or Thor so I put half in both this morning! Starting off small in both but looking to trickle money into each of them. Ohhh how I wish I bought into Thor yesterday but decided to wait until the dilution next week. After the massive price rise this morning decided I had FOMO and if the price drops it’s ok I will use that as good top up opportunity next week

Have been watching and researching since late last week and decided to wait for an under 20p entry point but decided to start trickling some money in incase it doesn’t get there. All my shares are retail/ leisure so it’s time I branched out a bit into new territory’s and I’m looking forward to learning more about this sector

Conspiracy theory territory but does anyone think that some studios may keep pushing back releases to weaken cinemas further so that they can buy them out next year for a bargain? Just a thought but using Disney as an example - Disney+ could well do this by keeping streaming on there for the foreseeable (rumours that Soul will be going non there when it’s released). There’s a lot Disney could do with owning a chain of cinemas, sell merch, Disney reruns - actually these are popular with adults who have never seen their fave film on a big screen, character meets and photo ops to get people through the door would work massively well too. Selling snacks you normally only get at the park in the cinema would be a huge money spinner too, and this is just the Disney angle I’m going for here with them owning cinemas

Yes I am, everyone keeps saying wait until results day it’ll fly but I don’t really understand why. I can see a drop happening, anything under 40p and I’ll finally do another top up I think

As always I wish I bought more at the start as i timed it right when I bought in the first time and they started rising rather than going down, whichbis what usually happens when I buy shares or top up :’0)

These are a ten year hold for me all being well so I’m not overly concened if my average price starts rising when I top up as I’d rather buy in now at this price than in a few months when they’re £4+ again hopefully

Just did a small top up. Hold some in my ISA and some in my trading account and went from a £2.25 avg to a £2.37 avg in the trading account and I’m ok with that! As long as they are under £3 they are cheap IMO.

Haven’t been on for about 6 weeks now, but I think I’ve done a bit of a 180 with this share. I was going to sell by October if they were in profit (I bought in high unfortunately at 71p avg). I resisted the urge to top up while watching it hit the 40’s and the 30’s as once bitten twice shy and all that jazz.
I’m now thinking of holding this long term, could be a big mistake and I may regret not taking a profit when that (hopefully) happens soon if the price does the usual and drops down once it hits £1

Whenever the US gets it under control will be the next time I should think. Could be weeks could be months off yet
Also hasn’t been above 60p since the cineplex lawsuit was announced I believe so that’s dragging it down and not helping.

@prayfor similar to you I’m at 71p eeek. I have no desire to average down anymore, I have a couple of tones already with smal top ups. I would rather average down when it’s on its way back up as how things are going they may still continue to get worse before better. It’ll come good in the end for us I hope!

Well my usual reverse psychology trick of expect 50p everyday and then you can’t get disappointed when it’s higher hasn’t worked today. I’m disappointed lmao

Agreed, I said so last night if they’re going to do it they just need to get on with it and make the best of a bad situation as no one knows until they try. Whether I think they will or not is a different matter but we will soon see

What safety meassures? They wouldn’t be saying they’re opening 31st if they weeent ready for it in terms of safety meassures. Having a lack of films to show on the other hand could well push it back once more. There’s only so long they can show reruns for with nothing new, they’d have been open for three weeks by now with nothing to show during this time if they hadn’t have delayed once already. Wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it gets pushed back once more seeing as it originally got pushed back to try and align with Mulan and tenet releases...

Do we still think Cine will deffo forge ahead with reopening next week now Mulan has been shelved too? What other smaller films are due to be released next?
