Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Suggesting looking at lower risk investments that can still get you a large return. Look at mid cap companies in the £1-3BN range.
You can be sure that leaving it in Avacta for 5 years will either make you very happy, or very sad, and nowhere inbetween.
Agree completely that the raise was a no brainer, and appears to be timed well. Anybody who has lost faith in the management because of this clearly isn't thinking straight. Im not so certain on the remuneration arrangements for CEO and CFO, but who knows what targets are attached to them so I'll withold judgement.
What is poor, and more so for you Myles given the size of your holding is the the way it has unfolded. There's many parties involved in this so wouldn't stick the knife to the CEO just yet, but somebody knew about this on Monday and how it played out was appalling.
Ofcourse there was a leak. The FCA should be looking at every single material trade over the last week and investigating each account. Whole thing was an absolute farce and made a mockery of the AIM regulation.
Good post. I'm still invested and I see the raise a huge positive in the medium to long term.
For those investors feeling hard done by, it's a harsh lesson that the big bucks will always be more informed than the small change.
I might sell a portion to chase other opportunities, but certainly not all as the news flows will arrive in the next couple of months, and if the raise is anything to go by, should be extremely positive.

Get the gossip train rolling
There's something ironic about people calling other investors brainless whilst at the same time preaching the gospel of Richken and Myles to justify their own investment.
Do your own research, make your own judgements, everyone has a different risk appetite. The one thing you can be sure about is to not let anyone on these BBs impact your decision. LSE should be viewed as light entertainment not investment advice.
