Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
As much as I hate to say it, I think I probably agree. Not much will move until order RNS.
Let's assume im dumb, would you care to explain for my benefit?
Am I missing something? This is old news from the previous RNS. Doesn't change anything.
This is a little concerning, great for my Avacta investment but not so great for this one.
Im sure that e-mail is real, thanks.
I'm really considering cutting my losses 30% down and exiting this one. What's the motive for the poor wording? Hopefully not to soften the blow later
This is fast becoming my worst ever investment and my average is only 49p. God help everyone who is in at 70p.
I've reduced my holding a little, longer time goes in the more risky the COVID play feels. I'm still holding some for the cancer trials.
Can't help but feel like this test won't come to market until Sep earliest, and it's anyones guess as to the market size then. All on red at the casino carries the same risk profile as the covid play, just withhout the 3 month wait.
Anyway, hopefully Avacta lands on red for all our sakes :)
Hi all - slightly off-topic:
- What % of their portfolio do investors here typically keep for AIM (and why)?
- Back on topic, what % of your portfolio is Avacta?
Understand if people don't want to share, but might give some interesting context to the activity on the board.
Thanks
Appreciate the effort, but I don't think you need to do a detailed NPV analysis to figure out that if you basically generate the cure for cancer you create a multi billion dollar company.
Chances of success are slim, so keep that in mind before piling in with your pensions.
RNS didn't change much today, that's reflected in the SP action. Nothing new to see, AS had all but outright said a prototype worked and it's the quality of the test that's the sticking point in previous presentations.
Still lots of positive news flows to come, lets see how this goes through July.
Same thing happened with Avacta, don't expect FCA to do anything about it.
@FatherTed I hope you're correct. AS has alluded to Aug for time to market and end of June for prototype. These guys didn't give an impression consistent with that. Perhaps it was just poorly delivered and we can give them the benefit of the doubt.
Time to market aside, one thing we can all agree on is the market size discussed is staggering and extremely encouraging.
My view is that all the scientists in the world can club together and tackle the global issue of a pandemic. I have absolutely no issue with that. What I take issue with is the CEOs and Commercial directors publicly entering into a discussion with no other objective other than to air opinions regarding an extremely market sensitive topic. Positive or negative this was not professional.
"It was a technical session attended by scientific people who are not renounced for being focused around commercials... this really was not the forum for that."

Commercial Director, Diagnostics, Avacta Life Sciences
Oh dear. Regardless of your views on the test coming to market (I'm as hopeful as the rest of you on this), the webinar was nothing short of a terrible decision from the management team.
