RE: All i can say is, apologies if i post inaccurate info...4 Jan 2026 19:19
Now, hold on, leeew. you're just doing the same as what you're accusing chaebol of but in the other direction. there really isn't anything about the current situation that is 'great', more a sigh of relief that they got finferro done. and i bet it wasn't cheap, considering the deadline. certainly not as cheap as their other acquisitions.
while GST say they 'expect cash and shares to be returned from Semnet deal, until it's done... it isn't!, in the same way they were 'confident' in getting MICA. it happens when/if it happens.
as for poland, the fact is they failed to get the MICA licence and theyll need a positive reply by end of June... not a reply or more info required but a definitive 'yes'.
they failed, not for a trivial reason but, very likely that they don't have sufficient back office support for the £millions that they hope to get with MICA.
Poland is NOT the same... it wasn't a growth move but a survival move. and it's time-restricted, too, to July. EU law ends old VASPs on the 1st. without MICA from then, they shut down Bake for EU clients and they can't create offices in DACH countries, nor advertise there. if this wasn't the case, why bother reapplying. it's vital that they reapply in Jan, to give maximum time for consideration. otherwise, they'll have to find yet another country to survive, and that would just be...desperate! and i doubt UK would be a safe haven with the history, if they were to fail with MICA again.
whatever they say, they'll need to chuck the kitchen sink at it to guarantee it and that means the company has to be immaculate, with no evidence of eak performance to suggest they couldn't deal with the potential growth.
and if the news keeps showing lower revenue and increased losses, whether it's for acquisitions or internal investing, the acquisitions have to at least wash their own face, otherwsie they're seen to cost more to operate than they make.
you can be as positive as you like about these things but, as i see it, there's not a lot to be optimistic about until the news comes through... at least not for major investing... and we're past panic... it's more resignation now that 'que sera, sera'.
there's a reason the sp is sub 0.5... and it's not trolling!
