Obviously, nothing is guaranteed. if australia say they have objections to austalian assets being sold to China then that'll eventually be a stumbling block.

time can do funny things: reject a 33p offer, buy shares at 25p and then accept a takeover at 18.8p. it's only a fact when it's signed and there's a long way to go. for example, who'd have thought that today's news was coming!

I'd ask folk to look at the very long drawn out process of Wood Group's takeover by Sidara. while posters were talking about the sp rising close to the asking price in minutes, the sp drifted for weeks and months. there were untold complications, just as there are here, between the various major holders and how it was untangled.

when a genuine timeline becomes aparent don't be surprised if the sp slips. it's not a bad thing OR a good thing, it's just 'a thing'. folk will get frustrated, folk will crow abou getting in lower... it'll be a ridiculous barrage of claim and counter claim and anyone who dares to say 'there's weakness in the sp' will be ridiculed, even if it transpires.

Well, i can dispute your comments, even if you can't read my resplies but, considering this was at 50p a week ago, i don't really see how my point can be well countered? but it doesn't matter... i'll still be looking at the trades if there's no update on the acquisition... it's not as if i can move the market... just report on it.

Agree that it's nothing to worry about... but i'll still be looking for 40-42p for an averaging down if the news or an update doesn't apprear by the end of next week.

if they leave retailers to exhaust themselves searching for clues and ramping the price then don't be surprised to see some exhaustion on holding... and, as we repeatedly see, it doesn't take much to push the sp.

but we'll see... either way, i'm happy (but will be happier with another go at 40).

Sp bumped up to upper 50s, i'm assuming in positioning prior to an announcement but it just hasn't arrived. no new contracts... no branding on Tier 1 anythings... beginning to suspect the jv is just that, without any real evidence of increase in revenue.

Certainly feels like corporate positioning, rather than pi's buying. no new tenders that i can see... annoying as i really wanted to see this slip to 40 before getting back in but doesn't look like 40 will ever come again.

Sorry, massiveloser but my opinion is mine... and if you can't work out the logic of the absence of any positives, the need for a significant drop in price to get a fundraise away and what level the BoD subscriptions will need to be to make up for BoD's 90% paper losses on their original funding, then more fool you!

All of these searches are done before the signing. but, if they know how much it'll costs, nameely £4.3million, then they know the worth, because it has or should have been done beforehand.
