RE: Without further grants or follow up contracts, cash is getting thin...9 May 2026 10:28
All true.. nothing to be afraid of... the financial clues are where the gains lie and the reason for the fundraise.
atm, there hasn't been a follow up on the initial Cirtec sales. £300k was, relatively speaking, nothing. so, for me, it's a race between a new (significant) contract, for at least £800k and another placing.
the Brompton news is a distraction or, at least, a bottom drawer bonus for 2027.
so the calculation for the company, if there's no significant contract news into July how much are they going to raise and why. feedback on 10Ah is nice but is only an indicator and would, again, mean more spend on development.
the feedback on the 10Ah will point to what work will be needed on the 50Ah before those samples are delivered, which has been pencilled in for sometime in 2026.
so, i'm looking for the 50Ah trials to get positive feedback and to generate the real interest on the company and its sp. but that'll be, imo, tail end of the year or even early 2027.
in 2027, if things work out, i can see delivery of 50Ah batteries delivered with spec for, say, Range Rover. then there's a chance that, depending on good follow on Stereax contracts, that there'll be talk of Cirtec taking over the ip. and then, finally, more talk about Brompton (though that's the least important news).
i just don't see how current cash survives the rest of the year with what's needed and the delays to come?
they'd be better off placing earlier than later (again, dependent on if there's revenue news in the next couple of months in the pipeline) but would rather see them raise with the sp at36 than 30. 'course, even at 36p, the placing would have to be nearer 30p to make it worthwhile for funders or to give them warrants. but i'll gamble on no meaningful news before committing.
happy to hear alts...
