Agree Rosewall - spent 23 years teaching maths to teenagers and encouraging them to not trust the media in any form and to think for themselves. Note John Humphries turned down the chance to interview Greta thingy as he thought she was being used by others. My teachers instinct tells me that she is headed for psychological issues. The only people who stole her childhood are her parents who have let her fester on this and fed her anxiety.

Anyway JLP targets - break above 3.5p for a move up (support at 2.8p should we have any bad news). After 3.5p I have short term targets of 4p, 4.25p and 4.75p. Medium term target of 9.5p.

My portfolio is showing signs of reaping the rewards of my patience. SAVP doubled over past few weeks, WRES bobbibg around waiting for production and JLP firmed up nicely and poised for further advances on financials and Kabwe progress.
This morning SAVP lost 10% due to a licence running out - wtf.
WRES falls 5% over another month's delay in production leaving cash flow problems whilst they accelerate spending on a second project wtf.
Thankfully JLP is very quiet this morning - lost about 4% of my portfolio value this morning - such is AIM. Mind you all 3 shares are looking cheap now - if I had more cash available I would be straight in - never learn - lol.

p.s. it is refreshing to see that so many young people are turning to Science and maths in the uk as they realise that this is where the money is - a big turn around - we need more scientists and engineers to build that brighter future.

So do I Rosewall - the answer is science - see JLP technology advances - re-work and clear up old dumps and pollution rather than dig up fresh stuff - developed by scientists and engineers of middle age - not by a snarling teenager. Also we must note that it was developed in order to make a profit - it must make economic and environmental sense.
The wind farms have just become competitive with fossil fuels - developed by engineers and scientists - they now make environmental and economic sense.
Air source heat pumps - do not make economic sense so they are pushed and subsidised by the government and it is bound to fail as folks wake up to the fact that for the same house temperature it costs 2.5x the amount that gas does - the technology has to improve or die off - economic and environment - it's the only way.
Tell poor people in Brazil to stop burning tree because we don't want them to - no chance. Pay them handsomely for their acreage and you are in business.
Ask people to stop having so many children when it is an intrinsic part of their culture - no chance - explain why and provide the wherewithal and make the wherewithal a condition of receiving other help and you are in with a chance.
I agree with Boris - the "hair shirtedness" of the Green party is not the answer - innovation, science, technology and the force of the economic argument is the way forward.
I will shut up now as I sound like a pompous lecturer.

Got children and grandchildren and put them before myself at all times so I am heavily invested in a clean bright future. My point is that just because they are young it doesn't mean they have the answers. In fact they probably don't because they are less knowledgeable (that's why they do full time education).

Britain produces less than 1% of global emissions - beating ourselves up and cutting emissions in a way that makes all of us miserable isn't the answer. We need more trees near the equator - we (humans) are burning them. we need fewer people as all humans cause emisssions and thirdly we need to cut the pollution per person. Everyone - especially the young through indoctrination, are only looking at one aspect. The majority of noise is people making themselves feel better by making out others are less good than they are. e.g. a Labour party nutter at their conference suggesting that laws should be passed to force us all to be vegan's. Despite a report this week which found that a balanced diet including one portion of meat each day is better environmentally than a vegan diet. Equally important it, is better for us as individuals.

None of this matters though - I love Greta Thumbwotsit so I am good and you are bad.

Let's all just work on preserving habitats, planting not destroying trees(especially near the equator), controlling the human population and restricting polution to a minimum. Meanwhile JLP is helping clean up a mess we made earlier - yey we are all good investors - not here for the profits at all.

I agree that 10 or 20 years is not a time I wish to wait. Nelson's point about Tjate being of $0 value in the sp means that whatever the time frame it can only be a bonus. At the moment, vehicles will need to be a mixture of petrol, diesel, hydrogen and electric. There are not enough materials to convert all cars globally to electric - the demand for metals would be about 4 or 5 times what we can currently mine. Also the world's population is expected to grow from 7 billion to 11 billion in the next 30 years. There will be ongoing demand for pgm's IMO. I think Japan are the only country to totally commit to spending on conversion of all cars to environmentally friendly ones (at the point of use at least) and they have chosen the more expensive hydrogen route which currently needs platinum in greater amounts per car than currently.
I agree that if Tjate can attract a buyer then a sale would be the preferable route and thereafter concentrate on the new environmentally focussed business. p.s. in my day kids were indoctrinated into religion in school and now it's climate change. we should teach them the science and let them make their own conclusions IMO. Getting a bit fed up of seeing ranting teenagers venting their spleen on TV as if they are the only ones who know the situation. Especially hate the little kids with banners and posters that they can't read let alone understand. Practical solutions need to be found. I would start by educating women in countries where it doesn't currently happen, introducing birth control as a compulsory part of any foreign aid (to keep the numbers of destructive human's down) and the purchase of vast areas of undeveloped land near the equator by the richer countries in order that they remain undeveloped. Pretty much spot on Nelson. Leon is running the show and Colin has wandered off to do deals and to take risks on opportunities with his other companies such as GLR.
Jubilee metals is basically and amalgamation of two former companies. Jubilee platinum under Colin set about proving up a mine at Tjate - it's been drilled, JORCed and is fully licenced to produce. A great achievement. The collapse in platinum price rendered the potential mine uncompetitive and so it has continued until, perhaps now/soon.
Around the same time as the financial crisis Leon was working at Braemore Resources which was working on innovative technology (conroast) - it ran out of money and was taken over by Jubilee platinum - Leon came as part of the takeover. Colin managed to keep the combined company afloat by deals and hopes and wishes and cash raising. Meanwhile leon developed and tested the conroast technology and skills. It is these skills and the knowledge that Leon has gained which is now transforming Jubilee metals. In my opinion, the two companies can be split as soon as Tjate has a value. It makes sense for the development of the mine at Tjate to become separate from the business that Leon has built (with Colin's help). p.s. I think JLP owns about 67% of Tjate - a sale of the licenced and proven mine site to the Chinese has been discussed before. Colin has the handle on when Tjate would be a goer or could be presented as a goer - my rule of thumb was developed based on comments he made many years ago. The required figures for metal prices are likely to be higher than I state due to the effect of inflation on mine building costs.

Agree 100% Nelson - deliver money not placements. Even a one eyed dog can see that lol. $100 million for Tjate - would you take it. There was talk in billions 'back in the day'.

It's funny how society adopts labels and then sticks with them once they have a shared meaning.
Credit cards can be upgraded to gold cards and then to the heights of platinum cards. This continues despite gold being far more valuable than platinum and there is no mention of palladium cards despite it being higher than both. I suppose this stops us flip flopping labels and ideas continuously. Now if palladium continues to steam ahead for a prolonged period then maybe society starts to accept the new truth and we see palladium suites at hotels as well as palladium credit cards.
What relevance is this to Tjate and JLP. Well Colin has said there is no stomach for anyone to invest in large scale pgm mines in the current climate - but what if the climate changes (or is perceived to change) - then gradually investment decisions start to change. The latest thinking is that the palladium rise is down to a lack of supply not from increased demand. Where will supply come from - increased recycling, re-extracting from old waste or new mines /mining areas? JLP benefits from 2 of the 3.

My rule of thumb for Tjate to be back on the table as a serious discussion point is $1400 platinum and $600 palladium.
Using a very rough ratio of 2 to 1 this is a metal average of $1133 per ounce.
Currently we have platinum at $960 and palladium at $1660 which is a 2 metal average of $1193 per ounce. i.e. Tjate has becoming viable again - by my rule of thumb anyway.
The first part of my post seeks to illustrate that it will take time (maybe up to 3 years) for the market to start to reflect the new viability of Tjate based on the palladium price (not to mention Rhodium) - quite right too - caution is needed before making large investments and investors will need to see the prices sustained over time before committing - but at some point the case will be made and greed will kick in - it will soon be time for Colin to be knocking on the doors in China? One thing is for sure - JLP's future is now secure thanks to Kabwe so any time in the next 20 years JLp will be able to make money from selling or developing Tjate - sustained palladium deficits will bring that time closer and closer.

Hi BB2 - I was always understood that the pgms were JLP's at DCM. Although the situation at DCM has never been that clear.
Which brings us to why the presentation is to be welcomed positively Jammer - yes no new news - but timelines laid out for us to see is better for investors to get to grips with the bigger picture.
Next step is for greater clarity on the finances. However, I think we may see another project announcement before that. personally I would prefer to know the finances laid out to go with the timeline. If income is going to be ploughed into further projects with no funding to be required then a large re-rate is on the cards. Nice presentation - a step in the right direction - but further to go.

Read it slowly and carefully - nothing new there to those that know the company well but the point is that those that don't can quickly get a grasp on the company and be more confident in investing which is what the existing holders want to see. It's the only way the sp moves up.
The presentation now looks like a typical SLP presentation from 10 years ago. We are catching up on production, project longevity and presentation standards - the rest will follow IMO. World leading mid cap not out of the question?

GKP, FRR, VOG - well any that has lost 90%+ of their value and the believers still sit there waiting for redemption - Don't think you would enjoy it in the end safetyman - you seem too sensible. You could drop a hand grenade in and then don't look back - gives you a sense of wanton destruction but it doesn't help anyone really unless the person doing it is a saddo who doesn't get out of his bedroom.

Hi Billy Boy - the problem with comparing JLP with SLP has always been the longevity of the projects. With Kabwe this becomes a more realistic comparison as it is probably going to be around for 20 years as the main income stream. Hernic and DCM will come to an end but Windsor / Elland is now kicking in and new projects will be announced. SLP have been good at rotating sites out as they exhaust and new ones in to replace them. JLP is now moving to a similar position but more diversified. Plus there is always the proved up and licenced mine potential at Tjate which may come into play in the future.

Good heavens - not checked in here for quite a while. The decline has been quicker than I expected. If a company cant make money it will go under eventually - what else can it do. Sad demise of a once award winning company. someone will make money raking over the carcass.

Positive - they are considering other material.
Negative - only if it enhances JLP earnings.
Overall - any mention in an rns has to be on balance positive IMO.

Hi Geng - I think .362 may be the bottom (at least for now) and now we only need to break above .4p to breakout. If we do go to .35p then a rise to .38p will be the new break out figure. It looks like the market makers deliberately dipped the sp to touch the support line to bring out the chartist buyers to me. We are in the end game and the downside may be over but like Brexit, the cliff edge for the WRES share price is now tiny. Like I've been saying for a few days now - fill your boots at .37p if you can get it.
