RE: 1DayRodney. I don't think you understand.13 Aug 2024 14:03
Nice to read daily, monthly & annual amt of lab tests performed. Totally irrelevant to the two products Genedrive now have Nice approval for.
A baby in Nicu ( very sick) cannot wait days for lab test results to be returned.
As I posted last week, an example of the rollout of Genedrive 's hearing test is at the Trevor Mann baby Unit at the Royal Sussex.
Every baby admitted is tested with the Genedrive PoC & results are minutes , not days, to determine which antibiotic to administer.
https://www.uhsussex.nhs.uk/resources/information-about-genedrive/
This is not an isolated hospital using the product and no doubt it's rollout will be widespread.
The new stroke test, just approved is an invaluable assest in a stroke ward , again instead of waiting days for lab results, one can be obtained in under an hour and the consultants can therefore decide rapidly what are the most appropriate drugs to administer.
This ensures patients are given the most appropriate drug in a short window, thereby avoiding time lags in the time critical hours after a stroke.
So much misinformation on here by those with disingenuous motives.
To those posting constant drivel take a look at yourselves and hope no family member of yours requires a fast diagnosis & has to wait days , with potentially dire outcome..
