Well I've started researching the vaccines that can work against multiple variables re variants, but they appear to be a long way off. I think vaccine hesitancy will grow as we get covid weary, there will inevitably be some who by the third / fourth start to say hell no. I wonder if the govt will stick to NHS must be vaccinated by end of Feb / March , good job they didn't say December or we would be running on empty.

Happy Christmas Brent , yes we will be allowed , the carnage comes after Christmas after we've all partied. Think it was inevitable after cases reached these levels and a lockdown was not a popular choice. I do find it disingenuous of the govt to be attacking the scientists though, be it via their modelling or more directly.

Not seen any formula BYP but just repeatedly written that the more positive cases there are the greater the potential for them to mutate into new variants , so that alone doesn't bode well with the ever increasing headcount of positive Omicron cases.
Was just reading that Biden had committed to getting half a billion home tests out to the American population. Sounds fantastic until you consider the population is approx 333, 850 ,000 million so rough in head calc about 1.25 LFTS per person. That is useless and this is the global scale of the problem. Can't say it enough , testing is off the Richter scale and just like certain countries have hogged the vaccines, if Omicron hits China then the gravy boat of flooding the market with tut will be in deep trouble. Where will the tests come from ?
Lets hope Nova aren't hit by cases internally.
