RE: Harland & Wolff turn down £75m offer for Gas Cavern.6 Jun 2023 12:08
Regarding contracts , it hasn't been six months since any news , we were informed of over 10 million pounds of new wins late February. It is obvious from that RNS that the company bunches smaller contract wins together. Some of that work was to take place at Arnish , no mention of Methil.
I will not be contacting IR about RNS's , personally think the company are red hot at marketing. If they have any large contract wins that would have a material impact on the share price, then they have to inform us immediately. I like others would have liked to have heard by now of at least one or two bigger contracts, but am not unduly perturbed as I comprehend these take months of negotiation and until Nov 22 the focus was primarily on the FSS contract and rightly so. I suspect that we will be informed of smaller contract wins bundled together around the time of the final year accounts.
There is no escaping the fact that the delays to financing have adversely impacted the SP and will continue to do so until an announcement is made. Giving dates when dependent on third parties is foolish and those holding have paid the price. Without doubt IR read LSE and are very aware of sentiment. IM has rumbled along for years , the golden carrot that has yet to realise any value. Eventually it will and fireworks will ensue. If the JR is successful I expect a farmout JV to follow relatively quickly on the heels of the result. If we lose then perhaps the company won't reapply for Gas storage and move to straight to an application to store hydrogen , being mindful of the problems encountered by the gas application. Meanwhile at these levels I have accumulated a few more . Each to their own investment strategy. I follow the chap who posts all new TR1's across aim companies and there has been a noticeable uptick in activity over the past two months.
