Well what level of debt would have been incurred once the shovel ready project actually had shovels put in the ground. Huge I suspect, before any level of profit was realised. Let's just gloss over that.

Speedy , I could write a lengthy response but am not inclined to do so.

I was cognisant of the likely levels of debt that would be incurred and the balancing act that would be required going forwards , inclusive of new contract wins and at some stage non borrowed cash injection.

It is thus far playing out as anticipated with one notable exception.

That is the delay to the funding. I am not unduly perturbed as UKEF have caused the majority of the delay, no doubt because they are inundated with requests and are a new dept. What would be constructive to me would be if you could explain how you would have taken the business forward to the stage we are at now , without incurring the level of debt we have.

Fantastic to see lots going on in all the yards at the moment, an emergency docking making it’s way to Belfast and the yard upgrade program on track and milestones having been successfully ticked off on the main program, M55 on schedule if not a little ahead down in Appledore and a major fabrication project for a prime contractor having just been completed. Methil and Belfast really increasing production rates on barges and we will see multiple deliveries over the coming weeks. Arnish fully utilised with work on an Export project progressing well whilst fitting in projects for the Deep Water port.

The bids team have been hard at it recent months with some significant bids having gone in the box recently. Some of the more longer term bids that we have been working on for some time and have been going through rounds of clarifialcation questions are expected to conclude in the near future.

It will be good to see Belfast capable of delivering 800ts a week of panels through our new automated panel line with just twelve people recent calculations have shown. This will place H&W in a significantly enchanted position going forward on the global stage.

Multiple barge deliveries in next few weeks , Methil being utilised !

Hi Poidster , well worth a listen , as it is a very good starting point on YGENS products , service arm and how they view capturing market share etc. As I know you will understand what they are talking about , you will probably have a much more informed opinion on why NCYT are pursuing this acquisition.
