After this deal goes thru tomoz/ Thursday , can we expect director buys. Don't know if it's allowed , but if it is, in negotiations I'd certainly have said you have to have skin in the game , but that in turn would mean existing Novacyt directors msay have to put hands in pockets. Let's see. Be pretty crap if Ygen directors get big payout ( who bought in placing) Ygen shareholders get shafted and the CEO doesn't buy into NCYT who saved his skin. After completion I assume no closed periods but happy to stand corrected.

I can't compute how with gov money special consideration can be given to the Steamship company.

As at the 11 / 7 Hansard posted 15.26 on 14/8 they had been denied access to the levelling up fund to top up their commercial loan. Now it appears the DOT and IOSC are working in tandem with them 🙄.

So what happened to the other bids and indeed why did H&W announce their application at this late stage.

I note H&W lliking Steamship posts on linked in still.

It appears to have been a suprise to IOSC, perhaps not to the Steamship Co.

Could it be feasible they will use H& W to build in their business case and H&W will utilise the Steamship Co in some way in their application. Clear as mud to me.

What is it Broomtree that enables the cargo vessel to sail in rough seas ? I would imagine the design of the new ferry would be such that it could do the same.

The current ferry is so old it's a wonder it can float on a pond in summer. With regards to demand I cannot comment , perhaps low because of prices / puke inducing. Obviously limited tourism, but perhaps that also could increase if cheap enough travel. Don't know the numbers for how much air travel increases in winter. That number could be hit hard if a new ferry that is substantially cheaper starts a winter service.

Interesting that we saw the price for the funding for another ferry today.

Really not interested in who does or does not hold shares. Regarding IM having a charge registered against it , or to use the word in hock for dramatic impact.

Everyone who has a mortgage is in' hock ". To state the obvious the bank / building society has first charge. If IM is sold , the charge will be cleared and in doing so we will pay down the debt. The way this is constantly written about infers this is something extraordinary , whereas infact it is ordinary standard modus operandi.

We have a loan and things are secured against . If sold the proceeds will clear a large lump of that debt and attached charges.

One can only reason with a reasonable man.
