TDF , the comment IS most bizarre , it is flagrant disregard for any form of competition( and there are many regs) rolling over, having been bulldozed by the current holders of the monopoly and subjecting islanders to higher prices and a slower service.

If you read reviews, folks have had to take the IOSSC to court to obtain refunds on their plane tickets,when planes cancelled and they were offered a ferry passage instead and no refund on the cost difference.

Something def amiss here, expect the unexpected . If you are offered free money ( ours) you avail of it .

Unless the DFT has stipulated if another route the funds will not be available and if that's the case what are

Why would the IOSC not want competition, why would they not award it ? Why would they tie themselves into another x years of IOSSC having a monopoly and charging substantially higher fares for a slower service ?

We already know the DFT made it Impossible for IOSSC to access the full funds and laughed in their faces when they asked for access to part of the LUF to compliment the private financing.

Why indeed would H&W entertain the expense of developing a full business case and opening an office if they had no chance of succeeding if the IOSSC progress their plans.

I don't think we are in possession of the full facts. Indeed half of them.

I don't know about court costs but I hope they get stuffed with them all for wasting courts time if they lose this one. Think IM should be able to claim lost opportunity too, know they can't but what a pointless waste of time, agree with you Citizen.

What we need now is JW to officially announce no appeal and put some long awaited meat on the bones re IM to get the dog barking. Followed by a finance agreement and conf that LOI is now a formal contract. All to play for, but obviously we have a PI who has thrown in the towel, probably whilst still in profit and is frustrated at slow progress ( very very slow) on funding news.
