So although previously they had a 'growing US base' did they have previously have offices or just some bodies to represent, attend shows etc ?

One could take the view that they will proceed regardless rather then roll over.

However we are buying a ferry that will be operational long before the IOSSC have a replacement vessel. The minute we start operating that , we take customers off the Steamship company.

If they commit to the loan then they need 100 % monopoly to repay that loan and the ferry services subsidise the flights.

I have no doubt we can offer cheaper fares and that leaves IOSSC with major issues. Cat & Mouse. I'd like to hazard a bet that there are folks who work there that can compete with our very own Consuela and her long standing admiration of JW.

I don't think so LSE , it is for international trade, export and the ships will be UK Vessels , the other two qualify.

Evening Wyndrum, I suspect they got more then a clue after announcing that they were in the final 3 for the SeaRose contract and obviously it is a substantial amt that can be used alongside the M55 contract to avail of funds at a very preferential rate ( UKEF)

I expect they are in possession of all required inf to close the deal now. IMO

@Stokey12, they did say or write prior to news of purchasing a tug that they would sell the first one built if requested, can't remember where, just recall thinking well you either need it or you don't in-house having read a justification for having one only a short while before.

The Searose was the game changer for me with 2024 numbers, this is the icing on the cake. Tbh Lottie I hadn't thought about raising target, however you are correct.

Perhaps the whining about Cory barges can now cease & desist as the client must be more then satisfied.
