The SeaRose FPSO was built in 2004 by Samsung Heavy Industries. The unit services the White Rose oil field, east of St. John’s, Canada. However, the SeaRose is too big to dry dock at any available shipyard on the east coast of Canada, hence its transportation to Belfast.
In partnership with PF Collins, Pentagon Freight Services UK is supporting the logistics of this complicated project. With parts sourced from the EU, UK, Norway, Canada, and Korea, and over 270 consignments since mid-November 2023.
Pentagon services freight Dartford project team is coordinating this complex effort across several continents, and through various difficult and intricate routes to comply with the myriad and detailed customs procedures and requirements.
The SeaRose is scheduled to return home to the White Rose oilfield once the refit is completed at the end of the year.
