In October 2020, Gilead Sciences and Arcus Biosciences announced a global partnership to develop and commercialize next-generation CAR-T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. As part of the agreement, Gilead Sciences made an initial payment of $175 million to Arcus Biosciences and agreed to make additional payments based on the achievement of certain development, regulatory, and commercial milestones.
In July 2020, Kite Pharma, a Gilead Sciences company, and Gadeta BV announced a collaboration to develop novel gamma delta T cell receptor (TCR) therapies for the treatment of various types of cancer. As part of the agreement, Kite Pharma made an initial payment of $50 million to Gadeta BV and agreed to make additional payments based on the achievement of certain development, regulatory, and commercial milestones.
In June 2018, Juno Therapeutics, which was later acquired by Celgene, and WuXi AppTec announced a collaboration to develop CAR-T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer.
