Its more relief. Avacta (I'm invested there too) need to produce and sell 20m a month imo given demand will tail off in 12 months. There's no exact figure on production capacity but I'm assuming under 10m at the moment. Release won't be far off

Why would I be selling tomorrow?

I thought all you lot had aw filtered, or was that a load of bolox? He's entitled to his opinion, just like seadoc does on the ncyt board, some tolerate him, some welcome opposite views (I certainly do, gives me the opportunity to do further research and form my own opinion rather than some ramper), others insult him. I dont agree with many of AWs views either, but responding to him with insults just makes you look like a nob hoping the 'pack' then back you up with further insults. If you're so certain in Avacta, one person's opinion shouldn't matter to you, you have done your research right? Worst thing to do is be surrounded by yes men.

I'm invested roughly equally between here and avacta. Confident of ncyt coming good but must admit am worried about avacta. The board is rife with rampers or people over exposed at near £2 shouting others down. I'm averaged £1.30, I'm worried sp could crash below that now we know mologic are in bed with the UK govt. Not looking forward to Tuesday over there, there will be lots of anger and a smug alwayswinning. Thank God for nova haha.

Avacta, with current production capacity, would be unable to meet potential demand anyway. As everyone on here keeps saying, there's room for more than one test, and I imagine we're a month or two ahead of them. Maybe it will focus the minds and get ours out there asap in time for winter

That is exactly why my family and I won't be taking any vaccine. It's been rushed through. If it was completely safe there wouldn't be any need for the tax payer to take liability when it causes devastating reactions. I might consider it in 5 years when more is known, for now let the old and those with comorbitities have it

Finally!!! Hope we'll get to stick at £3 now, this will be huge, especially in northern hemisphere. Would love to know how it all fits in alongside existing manufacturing capabilities, are they being manufactured by partners etc.

TBF to AW, Novacyt hit £5 because investers thought they were selling 4m kits a month since march, 50% profit margin at £9 a test. Lovely sounding figures.

Then actual numbers were released, and while they were now selling 4m units, avr test cost was nearer £6 and profit seemed to be much lower than 50% based on reverse engineering given figures - and this is for a company designing, developing, manufacturing and distributing the vast majority themselves. Shorters came in, SP more than halved to £2.30 and been struggling ever since, and since July they've been manufacturing 10m tests a month.

Avacta need manufacturer partners, absolute minimum of 10m tests a month imo, and not give too much discount for bulk orders like ncyt have.

Absolutely appalling. Unless of course we're given a surprise £200m tender in which case give all the cabinet a knighthood.

Agree. I just hope Avacta don't sell themselves too cheaply, we have partners, manufacturers and distributors all expecting their cut. If UK govt aren't prepared to pay top whack, US and Europe will to get back up and running.

Why is it bizarre? If we had SP changing news there would have been an RNS. As there hasn't we can just assume things are ticking over in line with the last update. US news would have been good, but there's a dozen companies vying for business and US ones will always be at the front of the queue. If our sales are still increasing as previous 3 months then we'll be a solid £3 or so. Feel a bit for those heavily invested at over £4, they must be sweating after last 2 months, but I reckon £3.50 -£4 is quite achievable in the autumn, and if there is a surprise announcement that we're involved in more airline testing than already known, and end up with a chunk of a tender then we could easily rise above £4.

Like many others I'm fully invested in the two best covid shares, Novacyt and Avacta. Novacyt currently making millions a week, Avacta potential to make millions a week come the winter. PCR will still be needed. A month from now we'll be back at £4.00 imo, maybe even higher.

So a £200k buy back? How do buy backs work, do they Chuck in an order of £200k in one go and wait for it to be filled?

@Red - however the 'scope' of the original ISO audit wouldn't cover Saturn - to do this they would need to be audited again, along with evidence of how they apply it, internal audits to discuss security implications, the new policies and procedures, etc, and to book an audit is a good 6-10 weeks lead time with BSI
