Imo Annual report has to be delivered on or before Monday. Red chips sees strong CEO appointment, announcement of the £15M debt refinance package, positive news on Boots tie up & global franchise network recovery play. Black would be a sell out to one of the distressed debt vultures, equity holders slowly eroded. I'm backing red because think a refreshed BOD will see there is value here. Could easily go 15-20 in fairly short time with evidence of strong plan execution. Obvs am a (modest) holder in MTC w 60k shares. Jtini

It is noticeable that AML is being discussed in the same peer group as Ferrari, not just here, but the Analysts following are also making comparisons (albeit small at the moment). Ok, without doubt many bridges to cross on the way, not least credit rating for future debt restructuring as Ferrari's BBB+ compares with our off colour Caa2. But that's why our mkt cap is what it is today, the true attainable picture is what we're all buying into. Imo each of the headline events, whether Stroll (reset), Moers (ruthlessness), Gregor (forensics), DBX (world beater), F1 (showpiece) each plays into the other skillsets and that's why the serious players are backing this. Don't personally have the knack of day trading in out on these, so it's largely irrelevant to me whether the price is 65 or 68. But what is significant is the direction of travel northwards on a first phase journey to 100-130. Conviction based on
1st & foremost product. DBX on it's own, without anything else, will justify valuation once confirmation is forthcoming which I think is soon, it is price sensitive and too many will know something so LS/TM will want to control, hence RNS before Q3.
2nd 'everything else' effectively has a valuation of nil at present because of debt. But strong validation of DBX and medium term development of the SUV range allows rest of Aston sport, GT, mid-engine, to flourish too. The senior secured notes maturing 2022 will no longer represent an existential threat, and the short term high interest PIK's have been sorted by Stroll. All of the above without even factoring F1 brand equity. Personally feel helluva lot more confident with AML over any of my recovery play stocks, but what do I know. Jtini

Dimi, we salute you, the epitome of intrepid and fearless, backed up with solid understanding of fundamentals at work here! I believe your 1M€ will be reached towards end of this year, maybe sooner. And then, Dimi, can I ask? Top slice or Hold? Also, on DBX, if we're looking at c2500 order book, how many of these are going to be loaded with high margin extras. Harry's test drive was an £180k model & would imagine many buyers will be ordering in this area. SO that's an extra £25k on say 2000 units, £50m not to be sneezed at with effect on bottom line. Love your analysis Rox..so true. It's worth asking a question of ourselves, if we woke up tomorrow and this opened at 100 (DBX numbers) would you sell? For me, a definite no. Every day after that in the inexorable rise to 150 (2 quarters of DBX feeding through with margin & cost reset), regrets would be too deep on a personal level. At that point think Yew Tree may well be talking with friendly industry heavyweight, maybe reducing their holding to 15% and repaying original investment. Here on AML will be flirting with entering FTSE, and an ever more powerful association with F1 will make us rub our eyes when we review the decision each of us make at 100. LTI,OBVS Jtini

In the analysts call, one specific point raised was whether the BOD were 'using Ferrari as a template for the business model for Aston Martin going forward.' Stroll answered, we have 'our own goals. & our own targets.' With Ferrari's (RACE) $44Bn mkt cap in mind, the focus on dealer inventories, build to order, and margin, I think that means 'YES!!'. Think the one common trait we all (maybe not Maria lol) share is a cast iron belief in Aston's re-emergence from financial impecunity as a resurgent global player on many fronts. MPLC are utilising FCA guidance to review timetable for publication of annual report, giving them an additional three months. So when you look at previous year final results published 24th May 2019, would indicate this year due by 24th August allowing for the 3m delay. Frustrating as this might be, could work in favour as news on a strong CEO appointment to accompany, could see the SP rerate as global franchises start performing. News on refinancing of the £15m debt also key imo. Have modest £5k on the table here. Not for the faint hearted, but this could come good. Jtini

Good day all round. Market is waking up fast to the potential with AML. Very strong start from Gregor. Stroll looking & sounding like a winner here. Actually a good thing that DBX news held back, will add to the momentum building towards next week & both Silverstone weekends. First bit of strong news on SUV & this is gone. Good solid contributors on here with sound background knowledge & opinions on AML, look back through their contributions to when this was 28, plus most importantly serious money on the table. Feel that this morning's presentation was a masterpiece, endorsement of Stroll's grip on all aspects of this turnaround, market obviously in agreement, old days of the mid 40s I feel well behind us. The teeing up ready for Moers on Friday, holding back on DBX news & orders very obvious, and strategically sound as a complete re-rate once Tobias gets going will now imo play out. Listening to KG very impressive, & prior restatement (non cash adjustment) shows he is on top of his game for the City. Would be useful if very new posters to this board state their own position, whether LTI or trading, or other, to give some additional weight to their opinions. Nothing in there about DBX, we could have told them more on here. But, definitely feel that's being held back for a follow up RNS soon with Moers in. August 1 which once did seem so far away.. You can see Ken Gregor's prints all over these numbers, which the market will like imo. Jtini

I feel key to this pivotal moment in our journey as holders, is one of the replies Charlotte Cowley gave in the 13th May conference call with analysts, in which she said 'Now, when you think about it, through the second half, of course you'll have DBX coming in and being built to the order book, as will all new Aston Martins going forward, so you're not going to have a headwind coming in from DBX, in terms of any sort of retail financing support in the second half'. Direct orders, in control of margin, enhanced cashflow. So, if DBX is currently coming through strongly, alongside specials, margins / cash are going to prove the turning point in Stroll's masterplan for Project Reset. Come on Lawrence. Make our day. Don't see taking this private a viable option for Yew Tree consortium. Their total voting rights with 360m shares out of total 1500m would imo make that near impossible to engineer without inviting others to the table, & that's the last thing Stroll wants. Having seen off Geely at the outset, there's no way Stroll is going to loosen his grip now. Much more likely I think is once the red ink starts disappearing & the SP rerates, that YT brings in a friendly heavyweight investor & reduces their holding. Say at the 150p stage, they reduce to 15%, that virtually repays their investment & gives Stroll a resurgent AML & the F1 trappings for next to nothing. Maybe + or - a few points either way on the numbers but believe this is the game plan. Good luck to all fellow (much wiser than this one) investors here. Jtini.

We all are in this for the sheer exhilaration of the days when this rockets skyward. Okay, it's far from a given, but I have belief that it will come good. In the back of my mind is a stock I was into back in 2017. Ocado was ambling along mid 200's. There was a regular poster on that board, very knowledgeable as many are here, argued his points consistently about the plan & bigger picture, always rebuffing the shorters. That stock is now £21, and although I cashed in earlier, the lessons I learnt on that journey particularly when it comes to staying strong in the face of noise when you have belief, and having patience, apply here for me again. You're not kidding about Stroll nest feathering. He's certainly not worrying too much about the likes of quality Dimi grafting his way to where he is now. But. He does worry about winning, with his companies' and his cars. It defines him. One of the key reasons such a line up has gotten behind him on this. They have big reputations to look after & wouldn't have nailed their colours to AML's mast without very good reason. That alone should offer us some degree of protection. As does the complexities of the number of shares in issue & large number of PI's on the register. Can't see taking this private as a viable option. Having said all that, Stroll likes his surprises.
