So, Apollo will be using a PE practice from one of their trusted counsel, to steer the deal. Interestingly, Paul Weiss announced on May 4 that they are advising funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. in their take-private acquisition of Arconic Corp, an all-cash transaction valued at c$5.2 billion including debt. This imho is what is being discussed right now between the deal makers. These sort of outfits don’t do leaky. GLA

Those who sat on the sidelines as this went from 60 to 32 now suffering understandable remorse and will comfortably see this back into 75+ territory. Beyond that the story is compelling with THG's offering in another orbit to the other bombed out players such as ASOS and BOO who don't even come close in proposition. I see 125 as achievable in 2-3 months if CEO plays the game, more Lord Wolfson like and less GQ / Instagramming ideally. Best of luck to the many genuine (and brave !) holders on here.

I feel Private Equity will be looking closely at this with a view to giving MM an honourable exit, followed by a complete corporate tidy up and merge with similar portfolio industry investment. As long as us pond scum share in the honourable exit I'm happy. I'm guessing they will offer around the 120p mark and do a deal c150p. A lot of attractions here for PE, and they won't want to leave it too late. All IMHO. GLTA

A perspective on where this is currently. Today the Company is priced at 40p, but worth probably 100-150p, maybe more when calmness prevails. Various parties will be casting their slide rule over the numbers - look at TED, much more problematical than this, and yet Authentic came calling. Bottom fishers are out there, but if MM can concentrate amidst all the flak flying this will come good. Not easy, as his head was turned by all the IPO attention, and he has well and truly been kicked hard where it hurts by these same geniuses who guided the flotation. Pleased to meet everyone - decided to join the THG party, probably a little too early but happy to be on board. As I see it, a flight to quality is coming and THG is well positioned in sector, isn’t nearly as exposed to the returns abuse that has bedevilled BOO / ASOS, and critically has cash. Personally think Moulding needs to rein in some of the PR stuff as the City has rinsed him out - the only way to counter short selling is through performance, and I think the message is getting through. As a LTH here I'm convinced that Stroll & Moers have got this right, the reset that LS banged on about from the start, all we've heard about TM's control of detail and efficiency, nothing to date makes me doubt the future possibilities in store. Hovering around a pound in old money is about right presently, but on solid news this powers into new territory, and that's before we even get started properly with MB EV potential.

Just reflecting for a moment on the 26th May announcement made when Tobias was appointed CEO. 'Under Tobias' leadership, Mercedes-AMG has more than doubled its product portfolio and quadrupled the number of AMG units sold, with a clear pipeline of further expansion opportunities, especially in electrification of powertrains in the performance segment. Tobias' focus on operating and manufacturing efficiency has delivered significant margin expansion'. From his official start date last August, Moers has been building up to this moment. He & Stroll won't disappoint tomorrow. Personally haven't sold a single share on the way up in this utterly compelling story.

Investing in Ocado back in 2016 at around 250p I double bagged & more, selling out 18 months later, taking my son & eight of his friends to Vegas on the proceeds. So zero regrets even though that share price is now £28. My holding in Aston has though partly been shaped by the Ocado experience. When you truly believe in something & don't actively need the money elsewhere, why move that cash. Our market cap of £2.35Bn, the MB tie up, EV platform, F1, & the brains to bring this in big time, are all totally compelling for me. Personally at this point in the game it would be unthinkable to leave the table early. Never regret anything.

The last thing on Stroll's mind is any sort of take over imo. Firstly, he alongside other Yew Tree heavyweights has what would amount to an insurmountable position if anything was to be hostile. And second, an agreed bid, forget it, as these controlling shareholders are not swayed by making a few hundred million profit. It would make literally no difference to LS' life, whereas owning Aston, returning it to it's pre-eminence, alongside success on the track is what fires him up. That is the long story here and why I think many of us are in for the ride. Jtini

Dunnie is right, Lance is most certainly no slouch, & coupled with Lawrence's ambition & drive, makes this such a strong part of the story for AM with it's F1 Cognizant. But it's only a part of such a compelling proposition when you consider the MB EV technology deal and DBX, neither of which is priced in properly to the current SP whilst we await news. Current drifting on price makes sense therefore & presents great entry point but imo yet again those who dither on the sidelines will regret later. Obvs LTH.

Lest we forget, LS has a knack of surprising us. Who can forget the epic RNS at 4.30pm on the 27th October, informing of Q3 results, new financing & oh by the way a strategic technology agreement with MB. Just as you think it's a bit quiet, drifting slightly, no news, BANG!

With Apple's imminent deal with Hyundai, never has the logic of EV partnerships been more sharply bought into focus as now. Making Stroll's deal with MB look extraordinarily prescient & a screaming bargain for little more than small change in this industry at such an evolutionary moment. As these dark clouds around us lift as they surely will, the impact of the deal Stroll struck will become all the more apparent & current mkt cap will be laughable when we review this time next year.
