....but the PoG graph, visually at least, looks to be trending upwards, Retraces rebounding before previous (local) lows are reached over most of the past year, and no wild increases just small almost daily tick up. Happy with that
Of course I may just be having one of my rare rose coloured specs days, but lets hope not

As I said in an earlier post I wanted to do some research on the company. I have read the latest presentation on the Investors part of the website, and generally read round the website ('About', 'Projects' etc). I still don't feel I know much,
For instance, when is projection projected to commence, when will they start to build the plant, what are the alternatives for raising the development costs (think I read that as £145million (ir was it Euros)). Is the EU a likely source of debt funding, or are we likely to suffer massive equity dilution?
Any pointers for find more in depth reading would be greatly appreciated.

Have been with iWeb a couple of years. Its good 95% of the time. It is bad at dividends I've found. I have some BP, now you'd think somehow that would work like a well oiled machine. I'm sure it does till the iWeb part happens! Last BP divi, last week or the week before, took 4 working days till it hit the account. Another thing with iWeb I don't like compared to Barclays is that there is no notion of credit - with Barclays, maybe as I had a few years history and six figure sums invested, I could deal then feed the account. With iWeb I cant be spontaneous (maybe a good idea!!) so I have to go into my current account at a different institution, get some money from savings to my current account, back to iWeb to transfer in, then deal. Half the time the sodding SP moves (in the wrong direction of course!)

Well it wont help if it happens when the SP is low when it occurs!

If you accepted with iWeb the shares would have disappeared from your account and you will have received and Email on the day you competed the corporate action on line. I haven't received mine either

Just sat with a virgin Excel spreadsheet, the latest accounts (for the cash balance), the Dec 2021 presentation for production and a few of my own assumptions on PoG, costs, exchange rate and discount rate (for Zenit JV alone, ignoring Cyprus).
Must admit its hard to say AAU looks other than cheap at £45m MC. In the absence of bad news then on a conservative valuation this SP should double in the 2 or 3 years (as it is de-risked by confirmations of Tavsan production and Salinbas economic feasibility).
That's my happy New Years message. As you know I am never cynical or grumpy....

Although this issue doesn't effect me triki, I'm sure it's helpful to anyone in that situation.

Yes you will, its a dividend so all shareholders on the qualifying date (6pm on the record date, 17th September explicitly shown in the RNS of that date) will get the ZNWD shares

Alas it is our last ..... on this board at least!

Yes frogster, I intend to hold for a bit.
I looked at Zinwald when was it was 12 ish but then the fundraise at BCN happened. At the time I opted to increase at BCN as the fundraise was at a fair old discount to the then price. Wasn't a bad decision given the ZNWD SP at the moment. Lithium (at least battery grade) is obviously sought after both now and in the foreseeable future, with hydroxide and carbonate prices effectively doubling in the last year.
I wasn't going to chase ZNWD to the mid 20s but obviously watched more closely recently.
Following what appeared to be a badly received fundraise last week depressing the ZNWD SP I bought a couple of lots. I need to find out a bit more about ZNWD, its not exactly the profile of company I am normally attracted to. Seen too many earlyish stage AIM miners with great potential eventually make lots of dosh.....for everyone but the original AIM shareholders, often the bondholders.
So I feel I have research to do over Christmas, obvious potential and will be closely guarded as an asset by the EU.

Agree Foz. No reason why a broker cant refuse to hold unquoted stocks, i assume that would be in the Ts&Cs that they force people to sign (and which of course no one reads!). The alternative has to be a transfer to another provider, hopefully while not being charged to do so. I personally think life id too complicated to seek out unquoted investments, indeed non UK investments. The ombudsman case with Barclays I pursued was an AIM stock which became a private US company which was taken over by a NASDAQ company. Barclays just became hopelessly inadequate in sorting it out before the NASDAQ stock plunged. After that I said to myself....keep it simple, there's plenty of fish out there. Mind you in that the case if I hadn't have won the case I'd have been better off. Think it 10 bagged after I got out! With investing/gambling I found that the first 50 disappointments were the worst, got easier after that!

Great stuff Van. I follow your alter ego on ADVFN and have to comment that at times in 2021 he has been a little critical of certain aspects of AAU......

Good points Foz, sorry if I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about ISA only, must have misread.
Not totally convinced 67.5p by GF will be the last Market transaction, if before finally losing the quote non-accepting BCN shareholders can still buy/sell. But is likely to be similar. Don't really know exactly how that will work tbh.
My point about seeking professional tax advice was really based on the scale of holdings. I was in the actuarial field in my working like but always liked personal taxation so completed the ATT exams just before I retired. I learned enough there to realise that tax advice from someone truly competent (and there are some incredibly impressive people, not just the barristers, who work in tax) is very valuable but correspondingly very expensive - I know from previous conversations that your holding was a good size, but I am thinking that buying such tax advice would be prohibitively expensive for those with modest holdings. Just trying to be helpful. My experience with HMRC is that they are actually very approachable, that they accept most reasonable interpretations you put forward and best of all are free! No good small holders blowing their small profits (or increasing their losses for those that aren't showing a profit here) on professional tax advice. I haven't looked but there may also be articles on the internet.

Indeed VanVan and DJ. In the last couple of days your submissions have been 'fab' and enlightening. Been a bit busy on the BCN board because of the shenanigans there, but I always read here.
As you say it's nice to see positivity (I think that's a proper word). I don't think AAU was sinking due to fundamentals, rather a drift that continued to a point that no one wanted to try to catch a falling knife. I added at 4.5p, 4.3p, 4.1p, 4p and then cried 'enough'! Hopefully confidence has now tentatively returned and my short term aim of 4.5p will be realised.

Will be doing some Chrissy ZNWD research. I've also bought more, due in part to my little OCD foible of hating non-round share holding numbers. Tragically of course the ZNWD shares awarded as part of the BCN offer was inevitably a seriously odd number!

By definition until it delists (if it does) BCN will be marketable so will not necessarily be 67.5p. The price to use when it drops from your ISA would, I think, technically be the SP of the last deal (though how you adjust that according to whether that was a buy or sell is beyond me. There will probably be an official published 'price' to use).
A similar concept is relevant to holders in non SIPP/ISA accounts in respect of the acquisition cost of the ZNWD shares we now suddenly now hold.
Be much easier to just keep our dosh in the Nationwide.
