I am hopeful that you are right about Russia/ Ukraine. Putin is a much derided character but he's a wily old dog. If he doesn't invade he'll look like everyones hero and the West will look foolish by reacting the way they did while Putin continually assured he wasn't planning to invade. When this is clear I assume there will be a bounce of relief in the markets.
Regarding ZNWD, the post cash raise/ BCN debacle bounce seems to have come right off. Suppose its a good top up point?

The latest RNS on trading was upbeat. This isn't the most exciting share in terms of prospects but a good solid holding which is divi paying. I have had enough of exciting shares - I lose too much sleep and often money on them!

Inaugural toe dipped in the AXS water. Been watching for years after I learned that the CEO was the brother of the once deputy PM. I believe that CEO departed some time ago. Anyway, hopefully onwards and upwards.

Pretty much same as me young foz. To which I'd add that looking here became more than a bit of a habit over the past 2 years (my first toe in the water was 13th Jan 2020).
BB is a bit of an enigma. I think he was my quickest ever filter after his first bizarre post, but after unfiltering on a whim one day I actually realised in the end that he was actually well informed and worth reading. Yes, I'm talking about you Bob!

Have the company given any indication of when it expects to be sufficiently profitable to be dividend paying?

At the moment US seems to by coming back up. Let's hope it continues and the tension on the Russian / Ukraine border recede (an not just because of the positive effect on the markets). Last think anyone wants is more war.

Was the 50bn from Unilever that was rejected just for GSKs share of the consumer product division? My understanding is the Pfizer is a minority shareholder in that business owning around 30%?

Assuming no cash distribution I would expect the only CGT effect to be apportioning of your GSK acquisition cost in the ratio of the value of each of the 2 holdings on the day of the share split (ie SP x number of shares). So no CGT liability until a future sale.

I guess so. To be honest I am not losing out at this level, bought some around 30 then more well into the 40s and sold a few along the way at more than the current price.
Like others here I am ex Dana so am following the man at least as much as I am the story. So you're totally right, I won't sell, just I came here for a little moan and feel better now!

Well, my first week here (couple of purchases, one Monday, one Tuesday) hasn't proved very lucrative but not a disaster either.

Why would they be embarrassed? They won, they have 93% of the project (directly or indirectly) at absolutely rock bottom price. With 93% have enough clout to sell all of the lithium to themselves at cost. BCN board have their brown paper envelopes in their back pockets. Sounds like total success to me Like everyone here I appreciate what you did Dee but it time to stop railing against it. Its over.

Not my cappuccino foz. Too early stage, odd company history, a feeding frenzy of potential new small investors at present and no doubt a seemingly never ending series of cash raises to come. However I wish all that go down that route nothing but success - I'm usually wrong so you will probably be pleased I came to my conclusion!

Kirk. Cant help you much as I, along with others, are just as confused with the situation and are getting different messages from brokers - read the posts here.
If you didn't accept the offer then you wont necessarily get proceeds, you will continue to hold the shares UNLESS acceptances reach 90% when a full takeover will occur. From what I can see the shares are still on the market so unless you did accept the offer then I would suggest you might be better demanding IG sell right now in the market - the alternative in doing nothing is the risk that you will end up as a minority shareholder in a private company with no way to liquidate your holding, whose main shareholder is a giant Chinese corporation who will run it for their own interests (which could of course work out well for you, but no one has any idea). Other great posters her will no doubt correct what I have said if necessary

Duh, being thick! I meant Nevada hence the 'desert' part. Think it was the bit about you saying it was toasty warm that made me think Texas. I suppose to a Brummie pretty much anywhere in America is warm except Alaska.
I have far less AAU shares than I once did, cant moan as I made quite a bit of cash. Hence my current holding cost me precisely nothing. Part of the reason I am fairly heavily invested is my own chronic lack of imagination. I think with the divi(s) and likely short term news flow I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent SP rise. Read a few articles on gold over the weekend and a fair few weren't bullish. ABN Amro in particular going for $1500 in 2022 declining to $1300 in 2023!
It seems many gold companies SPs have softened recently - I noticed Centamin Egypt, where I had quite a holding once, is down significantly over the past 5 years.
The Lithium miner I very recently exited from was in Mexico, and I admit the political and criminal risk concerned me, especially with threatened nationalisation of Lithium Mining assets by the Mexican government. I think Mexico is actually North America rather than Central? Anyway, pleased to leave that one to be honest, admittedly with less than I originally hope to make!
So after all these years Hot Maden is still not producing?
