You critisise triki yet I have just looked back over every single post you have ever made on the SAV board. There is nothing in any of your posts regarding SAV which have a detectable bit of substance or understanding in - unless by substance you mean statements like 'this share is undervalued'. From your posts I can't even see an indication that you even know what Savannah is hoping to mine. That wouldn't normally concern me because everyone should be welcome to post. But when someone like you sits behind a keyboard and critisises someone else who clearly has researched the company and is expressing educated views then I get annoyed. I am filtering you because you clearly don't bring anything worthwhile to this board. Kindly filter me in return.

Indeed triki. Must admit we possibly dodged a bullet at BCN, and I had more in there than I would care to have lost. I suspect that either this is sabre rattling or that at worst a compromise will be reached - maybe a significant Mexican Government royalty? I don't think any Government wants to mess with a Chinese company as, effectively, they are messing with their Government.

Way things are going, in a couple of months I'll be the only poster in a year. I am surely not the only Private Investor in Epwin? Talking to myself!

Didn't find that at all reassuring. Apparently everything is fab. Except we know it isn't. No sign of Venus IPO, still drilling at Tavsan to complete feasibility later this year - when less than 2 months ago the presentation said that production there would commence early 2023. Does he think anyone believes that? Salinbas production 2025, again part of the presentation 2 months ago. Anyone believe that? Plus beating the production guidance for 5 years in a row - well I'm sorry but that isn't hard, just be conservative in your estimate provided that you don't overdo that conservatism and bomb the share price. Then at the end of the year.....whoopie doo we've beaten guidance (surprise, surprise).
As alluded to before I'm no really a fan of AAUs presentations and interviews these days. Too much of 'everything we do is just going great Andrew'......then the reality when you see the SP and realise time scales continually slip and slip.

Hope you are well. I had noticed your alter egos posts in 'the other place' and detected a bit of Jekyll and Hyde creeping in - sometimes supportive and bullish of Dr S & Co, and sometimes sounded like I do with a glass half full and no more bottles in the fridge.
Think most know my views on the new JV from day 1 so I wont repeat them.
I decided some time ago to take what I call the 'Fleetwood Mac' approach to Ariana. By which I mean regard Ariana pre and post the new JV as almost 2 separate investment opportunities - the same as the superb (and preferable to me) blues based Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac compared with the totally dissimilar commercial poppy band when Nicks and Buckingham joined, which was of course also successful.
Looked at as an individual I think the 'new' AAU is worth investing in though I take the 500million Market Cap prediction with a massive pinch of sodium chloride (bit like predictions of $3000 - $5000 Gold).
I have come to the conclusion that the JV was as much a political as a commercial decision, and awful lot of assets were given away for a relatively modest capital receipt.
I did sell much of my holdings but have been adding at 4/ sub 4 recently - I'm not the seller!

And more dilution at a discount. Never ending

Good news on the RNS this morning, though it has done little to excite the market looking at the number of deals done. When I saw there was an RNS I hoped for something positive about Tavsan, sadly disappointed again. Production early 2023? Yes, right.

Personally I have no problem with oil and gas. We are moving to a cleaner world (arguably we need to stop expanding world population to achieve that) and I am naturally in favour of that. But it is equally certain that oil and gas consumption will continue for decades out of necessity - its no good the green lobby arguing that the taps can be turned off tomorrow or anytime soon. Someone has to supply that energy and I have no qualms about investing in the companies that are providing that service.

Out of interest what is TC and the boards remuneration? Can you point me to the data? I am hoping this isn't just a lifestyle company for the board on the back of the Dana success.
With these oil and gas prices I find the SP underwhelming as the value of these assets should surely be reflected. If oil and gas prices drop, which I would guess will happen if the tensions with Russia ease, I can't see the current SP being maintained at the moment.
I sincerely hope someone can tell me where I am wrong here, my 'sell' finger is starting to itch again.

Depends on his relationship within GF long term, if any? BCN will continue to exist as wholly owned by GF, but I cant see Secker being a GF main board member unless I have missed something?

I am personally not concerned with Secker being involved with ZNWD -at present at least.
His non exec directorship is a direct result of the previous significant BCN shareholding (30 odd % before the specie dividend distribution but previously over 50% I believe) of which this shameful director was exec CEO. That justification for being a ZNWD director is gone and I would not be surprised to see a resignation on his part, and if that does not happen a campaign should be started amongst ZNWD shareholders to oppose re-election to office when that happens. The last thing ZNWD shareholders need is this useless person on the board if ZNWD faces a low ball takeover offer - his failings towards shareholders interests, a directors prime function, are there for all to see in the BCN bid.
Sorry if I sound bitter and twisted about ......... but it is because I feel bitter and twisted about him!

In my opinion the forthcoming dividend is no comfort, its not part of a dependable regular dividend stream, it is a special one off dividend (ok, ok, one of three) which is a return of capital - in other words for an investor its just a shift from capital to income and will be matched with near identical SP drop on the xd date as net assets drop.

Reassuringly back to my miserable old self today. Tavsan first production in early 2023? No finance yet in place so the start of construction work of the plant not yet on the distant horizon. Salinbas in 2025? Yeah right, pardon me if I question that one too.
No wonder the Gannt charts were ditched some years ago, Aesop was more believable.
AAU remains essentially a good company, but their promises about the timing of future production should be released by Boris from No.10 rather than in AAU presentations. I doubt anyone who knows this company believes them anymore - it's happened ever since I first researched this company. Reflects badly on Dr S.
