It's like me asking any of you 'will you be alive in 2 years?'. The answer is almost certainly yes but **** happens so no one can categorically say they will be.

I keep reading about the commodity price of Lithium massively up in the last year, demand expected to increase at 30% annually for the foreseeable future and hunger for a local product from the massive European car industry. There has to be external interest in this company. At least that is the mantra I keep chanting

I haven't looked it up but I think Ferrari are virtually a mass producer compared to AM. Don't get me wrong, I would love an older AM, something more analogue that all this digital stuff. But then again I'd love something like a Bristol 410 or a Moggie Traveller!

I think Aston is a very strong brand, far better known generally than Lagonda. Merc don't need AM I agree, but then none of the prestige brands (with the possible exception of Ferrari) are needed for net cash generation. They are there for image. It is for that reason I think AM can only exist as a brand in a bigger group rather than as a self supporting manufacturer - especially with recession likely to start soon and be long and deep.

If it wasn't for the fact that the world is going EV I would have thought Mercedes, as primary IC engine supplier, would snap up AML as a prestige brand, like BMW with RR, VW with Bentley and Bugatti etc. EV puts a question mark over that, indeed over the whole concept of supercars. Where do supercars sit in a world where every car has a whirring electric motor?

So let me get this right. AAU are quoted on London, I live 100 miles away and I haven't got my divi at the end of the day. You live thousands of miles away on another continent and got yours before your cornflakes and coffee.

I am with iWeb, and take no notice of the numbers they show for acquisition costs of any of my holdings. I keep my own Excel records. As long as they have added the correct number of shares per your cash investment and the rights price then I wouldn't worry.

I would like to have seen some guidance/ opinion on where costs are going in the current environment. Clearly margins look good at present but they could erode, especially with an energy intensive businesses like mining/refining and rampant inflation in Turkey

Over here we get MSN stories on which we can comment. The level of censorship is silly and very little gets through without diluting the wording. However I have discovered that for some reason moron and imbecile aren't on MSNs naughty list, even then you can't say 'she is a moron' but you can say 'Truss is a moron'. Which I do. Frequently and with great enjoyment.
