Fun fact, James Boned probably didn't drive a DB5 in Goldfinger as everyone thinks. It's thought to have been a DB4 with a facelift as AM was about to launch the DB5 and wanted their current model on screen.

Gold price is reassuring and seem to be established above $2000, even if it is as the result of some sad world instability. They say that with shares travelling is better than arriving and I expect no massive uplift in SP as a result of Tavsan production (by which I mean the on site heap leach processing, not the lorry loads being trucked to Kiziltepe). But if all goes well at Dokwe, with not too much slippage in timescales (it is Ariana we are talking about, besides which what are the timescales apart from ambiguous references to 'moving towards' production in 3 years, interpret that as you will) then as that project shows real progress we could see significant SP uplift. Lets hope it doesn't stall for a decade like Salinbas where there is still no production date in sight. I hope for a sale of the project by the JV there prior to production.

Three events of recent history have hugely damaged BP shareholder value.

Fist obviously was the Mexican Gulf disaster which imo was not really BPs fault, but a lot to do with the Americans who saw it as a cash cow for their legal industry, protectionism of their own very guilty oil industry service companies and the weakness if the British Government to stand up for home interests despite the 'special relationship' which basically involves us Brits bending over the kitchen table biting down on a tea towel while being rogered senseless.

Second was the Ukranian invasion causing the effective loss of a multibillion pound Rosneft investment, so arguably not the boards fault though it was at the time when the company was 'led' by...

Idiot Looney, who did far more harm to this company than any other CEO since I have held shares here. His silly 'lets plant flowers and go green' strategy set the scene for this decline vs Shell (for example), while drawing huge salary and bonuses and shagging his way around the typing pool which surely should be investigated in the same way that Weinstein was. His replacement seems a weak and inconsequential individual unworthy of the position. But at least he isn't getting jiggy jiggy with his secretary (as far as we know).

The world is full of 'ifs', I agree with posters that my rather obvious sentiment is that this is a play on V price. If it goes up we are in clover, if it stays the same or declines further we will be in the same predicament as that wild camper in Tavistock who a grumpy farmer came across on his land (the video is funny). Like many miners of various metals, this is no different, palladium and platinum are similar except for them the decline in ICE cars is dictated by government and is permanent which makes for bad prospects. One thing I would have like comment on by Craig/ the company is whether other V producers are putting mines in C&M which itself could choke the supply side even if demand remains constant.

I agree with what you say. How on earth can GSK assert that there was no risk with Zantac then pay the odd claimant off? Either your stance is total resistance or throw your hands up. I cannot, and will not, believe that with jury trials on the horizon paying off anyone is wise. In the minds of the jury, from which clearly this event is not hidden as it is in the public domain, there will now be something of truth in claims. Pathetic. I was going to buy some more GSK at this depressed price but I now I believe there will be a succession of these sort of settlements constantly depressing the SP, so no more purchases until it is resolved which could take years.
