Bizarre thread! Why does anyone think bridges are closed to high sided vehicles in windy conditions? It matters less on a low profile powerboat boshing along at a fair old rate than something like a canal barge or yacht.

No Van ,I did not attended the AGM - I may by able to this year as I am mid-transfer of all my business from Barclays Smart Investor to a new broker who may be more helpful in giving me a 'pass' to certify the shares they hold in trust for me.
20% of the planned RC drilling at Salinbas will be done in 2019, hopefully it will not therefore take a further 5 years to complete! I may be wrong but I think there is a restriction on faster progress because of permits?

I agree with much of what you say, I too fear overhype having had more than my fair share of that in past investments. My half fullness/emptyness is more as a result of my character rather than in response to the current situation. I do however, as you know, agree with you about relying on an explosion of metal prices to increase the value of AAU, because I am far from convinced it will happen.
We're a funny lot over here, dont think we will ever change. We joined the EEC in 1973, as a nice cosy trading club. Made sense to me. Still would today. But what 52% of us didn't buy into is what the EU is now, with its inflated bureaucracy, massive budgets, hints of a forthcoming European army and centralised law making (in certain prescribed areas) reducing the power of our elected Governments to legislate without seeking a patronising pat on the head from our European masters. How did a trading arrangement become the United States of Europe? It feels we don't vote in a Government every 5 years anymore to steer the country, more a sort of Parish Council that decides upon things not dictated elsewhere. I dont want to strike up Land of Hope and Glory but our relatives fought for the independence of this quirky little Island and some of us (not by any means all as I appreciate) dont want that Independence continually eroded.
I concede we may suffer economically, and I am aware that you may think deliberately heading that way is foolish. Purely objectively it probably is. But what if the same was happening in the US, would the population be happy?
I dont know how this will play out , no one does. I don't see the long term prospects for AAU being changed by Brexit, they produce an internationally traded commodity priced in $. The Share Price may be affected in the immedate future due to underperformance in the UK markets during this turmoil, but in the value of the commodity produced will not be.

However, as we know gold is sold as soon as poured so its important to look at the average Gold/Silver prices over the quarter. To date the average price of each appears to be about 5% higher than the 2018 Q4 avaerages, which bodes well provided the production in Q1 remains on a par with the last couple of quarters in 2018. I don't read much into the fact that 2018 Q1 had far weaker production figures than in the rest of 2018 - compared to quarters in 2017 it was in fact higher, presumably as the processing was optimised.
So me being a glass half full sort of chap I am fairly hopeful for Q1 provided there were no maintenance issues.

Alamos has MC of 2.7bn $ Canadian for 600,000 production. Don't know if they are effectively debt free like AAU.
So AAU MC s/be about £50m. So about 5p, just for W Turkey

Good summary. Cant imagine they would want to sell all productive assets and start again with a new prospective area that may take several years to fruition, as of course has happened in Turkey. In fact that goes for me also, were AAU to return to being a pure exploration company with a clean sheet of paper then I think I would take my gains and disappear!
