Re DJs post, cant believe TM is considering presenting her Brexit deal to the House again, how many times does she need to be told no? We are all suffering chronic Brexit fatigue, am convinced that if this is put back to the Country then Remain will prevail - because people think it is the only way to put an end to it.
Sadly I am an orphan, though at what age that statement ceases to be a relevant is debatable!

Its funny, some of the boards I read have dozens, sometimes over a hundred, of posts everyday even when there is no news for days or weeks. Everyone is so fed up her that in the middle of a takeover no one has posted since Wednesday!

I know where you are coming from DJ, and I haven't any answers. This is a total c*ck up and much as I respect Mrs May for trying to resolve Brexit despite it being bound to finish her as a politician and possibly damage her as a person through sheer stress, it really is time for her to go.
Irrespective of my opinions it would be shameful to ignore the 2016 vote - that to me was true democracy, something actually decided by a simple headcount of the people themselves albeit by a relatively small majority. While leavers moan on about the proportion of the population who voted, the turnout was impressive and numerically greater I believe than any recent General Elections. Since we operate a first past the post system we have had Governments ruling for 5 years with barely more votes than the main opposition. I may be wrong but I thing the same is true in the last Presidential election - didn't Trump actually poll fewer votes than Clinton?
Guess I am at an age when I can be idealistic, were I setting out in life I may have focussed my decision based on economic outlook. I am no longer that young man so I look at what I see with this increasingly sprawling monster that is the EU and how it is removing our identity and power for self determination. You might argue that I should look through my childrens and potential grandchildren's eyes....but I'm not!!

They seem so committed to bringing Kizilcukur ore to Kiziletepe, surely there has to be some announcement about how that works with the JV this year?

Seems to be trading today in excess of the bid price, though you have to add in the due dividend and adjust for £/$ movements since the RNS which obviously have an effect. Given the uncertainty and delay between now and final settlement I would have expected a discount, say SP currently in the 520-530 range if the current bid was not expected to be beaten. So what I am saying in a rambling shambolic way is that the Market appears to be expecting another bid

I too am down, about 15% on this. I do wonder whether the bid is under value or whether the heights of £10+ were simply the opposite - ie the share was never worth anything like that much. Conversely the company does not seem to be ailing since the previous bid was so comprehensively rejected, so it isn't a decision by the board that I feel happy with because of its inconsistency. Hey ho, as small shareholders we don't in all honesty have much of a say and we will have to accept what has happened and move on. Its certainly better than going back to the mid 300's, so some consolation.

Nothing much to say other than that many miners are on slim margins even at $1300 gold which should underpin the current price. AAU is very profitable at this POG. Secondly economies like India and China, who are doing far better than us economically, have newly wealthy populations who are very fond of the shiny stuff so should underpin demand.

In the US stock prices are enormous but the investors are used to it and don't mind! Microsoft $118 I think, Facebook $164. A downside is that it is a big step to buy another single share so make them a bit less marketable. In this country share prices in the £2 - £5 range are generally aimed for, as mentally it sounds like they are a successful company but not overpriced and therefore not worth buying. Similarly a penny share rings alarm bells as being too cheap and heading for bankruptcy. Its all in the head. By share splits or consolidation a company can give whatever appearance it wants with no actual effect on the company (accept some relatively minor costs of actually doing it),

You are right about HUR, AIM & IHT, primarily because of the 2 exchange thing. The main exclusion (otherwise) seems to be property, it has to be a trading company. People pushing the use of AIM shares to avoid inclusion in the IHT pot (very relevant to us decrepit old fogies who frequent this board) think that up to 2/3 rds of AIM shares SHOULD qualify for this relief. I emphasise 'should' because HMRC wont publish a list, as they do for say negligible value shares. In other words you cant find out unless you peg it and try to claim!

The latest proactive video is a bit 'same old', sorry if that sounds critical. All I learned really was that RC drilling would start in May. Would like to have heard a bit more about Kizicukur, which seems in focus at the moment, but hopefully soon.
