Thanks for the reply. You sound about the same as me (bad luck), reasonably researched but no background of being hands on in the nasty cold North Sea.
I agree with what you say, I have been here a couple of years (maybe 3?) and quite realistic that things could, even at this late stage, go horribly wrong. I am not blessed with knowledge gleaned from working in the industry unlike some posters, but If the possibility of problems weren't there the share price would not be where it is (still). All boils down to whether you think Dr T is for real or full of BS. I hope to God (the one I haven't got!) that he's right, because if he's cocked up big time this is going to really hurt - but hurt rather than wipe me out as I spread investments around. Hurt as in compound fracture rather than driving off a cliff.
Re things going smoothly, or not, mistakes have been made and delays incurred (though as AD will point out still within guidance, its just that for once Dr T wont we under promising/ over delivering). I am hardly one who should cast the first stone when it comes to mistakes...….
